As I said already, if you don't want to downgrade and put yourself back on the OTA path, don't. Stay on 247. Just know that *I* won't support it. I'm done supporting everything except 246.
I understand that and I APPRECIATE your support thru the trials and tribulations of the ICS wars. The question remains unanswered: "What is the point?" Simply to be on VZW upgrade path? What the hell do they have to offer us now that they appear to have killed off JB for the Bionic?
Thanks,
RMD

Have you seen any on the Bionic? My point is, unless Moto/VZW suddenly warm their hearts and give us JB, we are EOL and SOL.

I understand Sam's position about supporting only 246 from now on, but i do not understand the urgency. i am perfectly happy staying on 232 a bit longer just to see how many more hoops the seal jumps through in it's quest for bacon....

Take your phone into a VZW store and find out. Being off the OTA path is not a wise choice. For so many reasons. I really don't feel like getting into it right now. If you do roms, you're going to want to be on the OTA path, as well, as the roms typically use the OTA as a base....except in the case of the new KEXEC based roms, I guess. Brick your phone, that 247 FXZ is going to rock for you...oh, right. Except there isn't one. ETC, ETC.

I don't really get why you're arguing this point? If you're happy on 247, stay there and stop trying to get people to convince you why you should change.

Simple question. The VZN Link says "Coming soon" but does not provide the link they refer to. Does this mean they still need to do a soak? And, if so, is there any reason to upgrade or downgrade immediately. Why can't we wait to confirm the MD5 on the OTA and then HoB to the build?

If you wish to stay on 232 until the soak is finished, you can. The soak starts tomorrow. My urgency is getting people back on the OTA path. I don't like seeing this many users OFF of it. But these are my RECOMMENDATIONS. People are free to ignore them.

I am ready to downgrade from 247 back down to 246 (because Sam said so...) and I have read updated OP and FAQ's. How about putting in a "Why should I downgrade if I'm happy at 247?" in there? It might calm down some people!
Cause I don't care. I've given my recommendation. If people don't wanna do it, then they best not cry to me when they break something. It's as simple as that.

Sam, when I try to download the HashTab for Windows software, upon entering my email I just get a perpetual snake eating its tail "Please wait". I went to the download page using your URL. Any Ideas?
Nope. That's their website. I have no affiliation with it.

Not arguing, just seeking knowledge. Just curious as to whether or not there was a good reason to roll back on an EOL device. I'll shut up now.

is there any way to just get the .246 update zip file? ...
It's in his OP of this thread... the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(246).exe installer is essentially just this .zip...
