I did a factory reset but fails at step 6 in rsd. So I did the AP repair to fix that and try again. Same thing fails at step 6. Depressed :( I don't know if I am overlooking something stupid or what.

Um, a factory reset has NOTHING AT ALL to do with flashing anything using the House of Bionic. IOW, what the HELL are you doing? You said you were bootlooping. That's caused by corrupt data on your data partition. Which a factory reset wipes that out . Did I say ANYTHING at all about using the House of Bionic to do anything? No? Hmmm. Now you've made a mess. Step 6 doesn't tell me a damn thing cause you're just randomly doing stuff so I have no idea if that's from an INSTALL or REINSTALL or even what version you're doing this with in the HoB.

Sorry I will be more precise... I did a factory reset by holding the volume buttons, going to recovery, factory reset.... was still bootlooping.... So I plugged it in to the computer and used the 247 version HOB. Tried to do a factory reset through step 2 in HOB. with rsd opens it finds the phone and reboots the boot loader a couple times before getting to step 6.

failed flashing process. failed flashing process. 6/22 flash cdt.bin "cdt.bin" -> phone returned FAIL.; phone connected

just trying to fix it...... not trying to mess it up more. Sorry.

Add a NORSD file to your House of Bionic directory. (See the FAQ)
Boot into AP Fastboot mode manually
Load the House of Bionic
Select 247
Select REINSTALL
Select N at transfer, N at check hash, N at reboot AP Fastboot
Select Y at flash
Follow on screen instructions to finish

A few days ago I decided to jump to .247, and thanks to HoB did so very easily. I am posting to say THANKS to SamuriHL and every other positive contributor to the community!

Let's not be completely nasty here....I don't want to see comments like deserving a brick. Not really called for.

However, that being said, yes, I mean, I've made it as clear as possible to the point that people got sick of me warning them that once you take a build above 235 that there is no going back. I explicitly made the FAQ entry about this situation "I was a moron and tried to FXZ 905 from a 235+ build..." The reason for that is I've made it PERFECTLY clear that you WILL brick doing so. I've said it in the FAQ. I've said it in the OP. I've said it in 100+ posts on various forums...

So, I can't go back to Froyo?? (Sorry, SamHL, I couldn't resist)

Yup we Razr folks had this same issue. Once you went to ICS there was no going back to GB. Tough pill for some to swallow. In the end I would say 98% wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes, all the moto ICS builds have the security increased to not allow flashing back to GB. This is partly due to the new root counter in recovery. WOO HOO.

OK, WTH has happened to this forum.

A. Sarge was messing around and bricked the entire forum.
B. Moogle hacked it and made it access by dial up only.
C. Its arteries are totally clogged by bacon fat.
D. Someone messed up and bricked their phone by skipping a step in the HoB and Sam chopped the whole forum into little pieces. (or maybe earthquake related)

This is our only source of what's going on with this .246 - .247 crap.
Lew

It's telling you what's missing. I'm not going to sit here and repeat the OP information on how to install this...I'm seriously not.

No one else has "an issue with it"....whatever that means. Hundreds of people have used that same link to install it.

You don't have the file(s) in the right directory, what I would do is move the installer files onto your desktop, and run them there first the HoB installer then the update installer, and they should put the files onto a folder on your desktop. If you do this do NOT change the directory it wants to install to.

Then run HoB from the desktop directory and you should be good to go, unless you messed up somewhere, but the instructions SamuriHL posted in his FAQ are pretty much as simple as they can get.
Droid Bionic Launch Version 16GB Internal w/ 16GB SDcard version with HoB 247 ICS.
