Bout time you provided (the majority of your) support at a forum that actually gives a s**t....

Yea, I know. When people provide me BS information and get offended when I say "I don't know how to respond intelligently to that..." then it's time to reevaluate how I support my work...

And locking a thread is the utmost show of intelligent responding, huh?

That's what made me mad was the mod response. One of them jumped all over me about how I responded. They felt I was condescending. Um, really? You don't want to see me TRULY be condescending cause I'm NOT nice. I have little patience for stupidity. I have ZERO patience for laziness. Combine the two and my worst side comes out. Still, even if I'm being a sarcastic jerk (which I wasn't in that case), I STILL will be providing help and assistance. As I pointed out to the mods, my record for helping people with the HoB is flawless. Every single person who's come to me for help has gotten it...even if it sometimes has taken longer than it should have. When they locked my thread I was in the middle of posting a link to the 238 update that the guy really needed to have but "accidentally deleted". I took time out of my day to host it on my hosting site just for him to help him solve his issue....AFTER he reported me to a mod. I really have no patience for that kind of nonsense. Ask me for help, and expect that I'll help you, but, if I have to pull teeth, expect that while I'm helping you, I WILL be not so nice about it. That's just how it is.

I'm really not concerned about it. I've had enough of the drama.

What ticks me off is the unlikely possibility of some people being stuck on a locked ICS build that's off the upgrade path cause of the irresponsible actions of some MOD..

Let me be very clear about that. I told the mods if they close my thread to rewrite the op to say that if people need support they should contact me directly in pm's. I will support my users... But I will not be told how I provide that support by anyone. End of discussion.

Just wanted to let people know that I've been told privately that VZW has signed off on 242 and will do a week of testing for the next week. We should see a soak sometime between next Friday and early the following week IMO. (That is MY opinion....not a fact). Looks like we're finally getting there.

Those that used the HoB to get to 242 (or other means to get to it....that's just foolish though :D) will be on the OTA path unless VZW finds any show stopper issues in testing this week. It's feature complete as far as VZW is concerned and once they put it through testing we should be good to go. Those of us on 242 won't have to do anything. We're simply done. :)

244 support installer release

Adds support for 244. Same security as 235+. Same warnings. Use the *INSTALL* option to install it, NOT the reinstall option. Reinstall is only for reinstalling the release you're on. Root works. Enjoy.

You're quite welcome. VZW needs to drop this flash crap and just get on with it.

6.0 RELEASE

o) Removed AddUpdate.bat
o) Added functionality to the HouseOfBionic.bat to add updates automatically on startup if a new update is found
o) Added new ERROR text if transfer of update to SDCARD fails. It will not be so easy to ignore now ;)

Adding new updates to the HoB is SUPER easy now. Create a XXX directory (i.e. 244), Add the update zip to it with XXX (i.e. 244) at the end of the filename, run the HouseOfBionic.bat. It will detect the new update and attempt to create a boot.img for it. If that's successful the update will be fully supported when the menu comes up. Is that not sweet or what? :D
