SamuriHL you jerk! You lied!!!
8.1 huh? Hours are days.....
I think the answer to this is obvious... He came back... from the FUTURE to post the new version! What we don't know (well, until now) is that the OTA also gives our the ability to bend space/time and Samuri has been testing that!

1) FXZ back to 905 and wait for the ota
2) Use the HoB to update to 247
A warning for those that take option 1. Do not try to be "clever" by using the FXZ keep data option. You will regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon... And for the rest of your.... Um, yea, anyway just don't. See below for notes on how to retain your apps and app data.
Those using option 2...I will do the due diligence to verify that the soak build is identical to our leak. It will be. If for the first time in history it isn't... Don't panic. I will take care of it.
Now those of you coming from 232 to 247 have a choice to make. Roll the dice with your existing data and hope it all works fine or factory reset that woof and start clean. I recommend a clean start but I'm lazy so let me help you with that. When I say "clean start" I really mean for the system data. So if you were to use rom toolbox or tibu to back up your apps and app data, restoring that after a factory reset would be ok. The key here is to not restore any system data. This can be used by those who choose option 1, as well.
Please take the time to read my faq. It has a lot of answers to the questions people are going to have.

Hey Sam...I'm in a bit of a pickle. Even though all of your documentation warns of not trying to go back from higher than.235, I accidentally on purpose but not really decided to see what would happen. What does "You haven't gotten any error messages lately and we don't want you to think we don't care so here you go..an error occurred while displaying this error "?

I suspect a lot of people are going to find their way to this thread now. Especially those on 232 looking for what's the best way forward. There are essentially 2 choices. 1) FXZ back to 905 and wait for the ota 2) Use the HoB to update to 247 A warning for those that take option 1. I am one of those .232 users who have followed things around and was invited for the soak. I want to get back to .905 obviously. I installed the latest HOB, the .905 support files and i still have the .232 support files. I followed the instructions, set to mtp mode, but the daemon won't connect to the phone now for some reason. I powered on with volume down and power and i get to the screen i am supposed to be at but the script won't see the device. I know Windows does, as i see the adb driver install at the bottom notification window. My transfer mode says USB connected. I feel like I am missing something easy somewhere. I re-downloaded the Moto drivers and installed them to make sure that wasn't it. I also de-selected USB debugging and re-selected it before I got to that step to see if it made a difference. Any ideas?

ignore me. I tried another cable and it's fine. On my way back to .905.
I thought it was interesting in the soak survey they made a point to say we know people root and modify, if you do this we want you to get back to stock to take part. I chose that option and it said at the end that based on my answers i would be included in the soak. Good on Moto for understanding the community out there and we don't all hack our phones for personal gain or malicious purposes.

Google is changing that culture in a big way. Google understands the modding community quite well. It won't be a perfect transition and there will be some speed bumps along the way, but, they ARE trying. When you see 247 for the first time, you'll understand how much wrench time was put into it. I don't know anyone on 247 that has major complaints. All of us believe it's like having a new phone.

Just wanted to say thanks for the HOB, once I used the right damn cable (was using my Xoom cable which should have worked) it worked great. Back to stock .905 and ready for OTA. I gotta say, gingerbread stinks compared to ICS.

Hmmmm, gingerbread....wow, you know, I haven't actually run that on my phone since June. I mean that literally. And since 905 came out in May, well, LMAO! I've been running ICS much much longer. I guess that's why my opinion of the Bionic is different than a lot of people's. I've literally treated the leaks like a rom group. I even made a custom installer for them. LMAO!
