7.7 RELEASE

o) Remove webtop flashing from install option

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: If you get a flash error due to webtop, you MUST use the REINSTALL option for the update you're attempting to update to. This will not impact 99.9% of you except to speed up flashing new updates!

Just used v7.7 to upgrade to build 247 from 246... worked flawlessly.

Thanks again Samuri for the ongoing work with this project.

Was it quicker than when you went to 246? It should have been.

Yes, although I didn't time it precisely, it was noticably faster flashing without webtop. Awesome :)

Yea. I'm working on stuff, too. A minimalist linux version that'll move from update to update and root it. It won't do all the stuff the HoB does for now, but, if I got the script right linux/mac people will at least be able to move between the updates like we do on Windows. And root, as well.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get rid of the equalizer that is on .247? When on GB and on .246 instead of the equalizer you had some preset configurations. I used to have it set to Bass Punch and it sounded perfect in my Jeep but now all of the preset options are garbage and I don't have the patience to sit in my car and play with the equalizer for 20 minutes.

Thanks in advance.

It is, but, if you don't f with that partition, then we don't have to flash it. And if you did f with that partition, then you can do the reinstall option for whatever update you want and it'll flash it. So, for 99% of us, it's going to rock. :)

That was my thought, too. And guess what, guys....this came from a conversation I had in the Linux/Mac RAZR util thread with the developers in there. The 32 bit linux users are having problems flashing webtop. So we decided to make it optional in all our scripts. I made it part of the reinstall option and they're going to make it a new menu option in their util. How's THAT for community building? :)

I found the same problem. You have to turn one or the other off. The "Bass Punch" is an option under Settings-->Sound. The equalizer is in Google Play Music and has to be turned off from the "Now Playing" screen. Select Menu-->Equalizer and then turn it off.
Just having fun with Android!

I have never responded to any topic, this is my first. I am running .247. The instructions were easy to follow, worked without fail! Thanks to all of your hard work. I have installed 232. then back to 905, but since the ota is been put off again, my patience wore out. Again thanks to all that you do!

Hey SamuriHL,

I just want to thank you for all the support on getting us updated on all the leaks that have come out so far, continuously updating HOB making it better and easier to use.
