Hey, I'm a pack rat. I saved it away on my server for safe keeping. Do you think I can delete it now?

Yes, YOU specifically, should try to use that to downgrade back to 905.
BTW that is almost as bad as putting a Bionic in a vise.

That's what. 905 was. I think it would be more impressive to try to go from JB to Eclair. Think of the fun and excitement!

Or, you know, use the HoB 10.1 which uses the latest Koush Superuser and su binary.

All went well until i tried to restore root.
Voodoo shows I have it but my apps that require root do not detect it.
Is there something I am missing??

Yes I did

The odd thing is voodoo shows it restored root.
Also the su that was installed using 10.1 keeps asking to update su binary.
And when i try to update it reads "there was an error installing Superuser please send log of error to the developer.

Yea yea, just open the House of Bionic, go to the utility menu, and hit the restore option.

I've got the fever now and I can't finds the live Knoppix disk I made a few months ago or the link where I stored the image after I made my little distro (which still wouldn't have had ADB

Wait I thought new version installs voodoo, koush su, backs up root into double secret location, etc etc? Just trying to be sure I can restore root after the ota... I know there's an exploit obviously but would be smoother if I didn't have to go there...

is it really secret? I figured voodoo put it in /system/user/we-need-root/su backup..i wish i could copy paste it without having root to have root.
My reason for reading up is i have to fxz my phone to have it mail it back. Im trying to remember where i read about a cdt bin mod making the jb ota fxzable. i am pretty sure it was hob. I should be getting a nice .905 certified like new bionic, so im hoping my second chance goes better. I couldnt resist the soak test, then i updated only to kick myself when i read that. Thank you, btw Sam. your hours upon hours of work for bionic owners is much appreciated.

voodoo, supersu, kouschs superuser, checked all 3 times, reboted and did it again , stock recovery, updated , kept root, its all good . reinstalling safestrap 3.05 just because I like the battery , even tho I know its not accurate. gonna wipe my sd card and start over with all my roms and see if having real jb makes any difference with jb roms which is all I was running before. thanks Sam and all the rest of yall for the processes.
