Yes, CM has switched to Koush's as it's open source. I just put it on my phone as well.
Thanks. I was like 99% sure it was, but that pesky 1% was bugging me

I don't know but he isn't responding to PM's either. I'm not uploading the new HoB until he does. Actually I'm not done with what I wanna do to it. It'll be tomorrow before it's done.

Koush's is open source but i have read numerous complaints for lack of updating the su binary. So until those complaints start to dwindle down i think i will stay with chaindd's. On another note i have had a few apps not play well with SuperSu on my N7 so until i see some improvements there i will not be going that route either.
P.S. I highly recommend people stop using chaindd Superuser. There are 2 better solutions out there and no one that I've seen that used either of them lost root. SuperSU is what I use currently, but, I'm considering switching to Koush's Superuser. That one is fully open source and worked fine for people who protected su, updated to JB, and restored su. Chaindd's had lots of issues with people losing root after the JB update. Just something to consider. I MAY push out an update to the HoB to switch it to Koush's Superuser and add an option to restore the HoB protected su.
Have you ever had a problem with your phone that you can definitively trace to having a version of the su binary that was slightly out of date? Seriously?
On a note, isn't Koush's the one baked into CM?

And will be baked into the House of Bionic tomorrow. You can replace it with whatever you want, but, by default that's what I'm switching to.

No, I'm good. I just need time and I've had a long day. Of course, my RAZR HD gets delivered tomorrow and I'm told I may have to visit my VZW store to get a new sim. YIPPIE. Can't wait to root and unlock that bad boy.

That would be sweet but you don't need to apologize for crying out loud! You sent me an incredible phone! I'm just not jazzed about having to go to vzw. I have a good store but it's still a pain.

Sam you can just cut the SIM. My Bionic SIM did not fit my S3, I bought a SIM cutter, but it didn't come in in time for my wife's phone. So a scissors and exacto knife worked fine.

Yea I know that can be done but I want to be able to switch back to the bionic if I need to. I'll suck it up and go get one if I need to.

My cutter came with a carrier that the mico SIM sit in so you can use the same SIM to go back and forth.

I was just looking at that. Kinda neat I suppose. But vzw is only 15 minutes from me and I want to grab a car dock while I'm there. So it's not all bad.

Ya, so if you get an adapter, it's pretty easy to switch back and forth. AND NO phone calls (or internet access) to Version to "reactivate".
I've done it with my S3 and Bionic, but the Bionic is a bit finicky.

so I visited the house last night for the first time in a long time, I like what you've done w/ the place BTW.
I was able to do a full 246 FXZ wiping data, everything went smoothly until it came time to root. Voodoo was installed, but no su app. So I went and downloaded koush's superuser, won't install binaries, tried super su, same thing. The only superuser app that will install and install the binaries is the chainsdd superuser. At one point I had both super su and superuser (chainsdd) on my phone, was about to uninstall super su when it was granted access by superuser :
I uninstalled superuser and tried to just use super su, no dice. Super su won't do anything w/o superuser installed, which just doesn't make sense to me except that superuser installed the binaries that super su was not able to and that may have been allowing super su to function.
I have root, just think its odd that i can't use any of the other superuser options out there. I have read that the chainsdd superuser hasn't been that reliable in restoring root, but VooDoo seems to do the trick. This was one of the last things I was looking into before taking the JB plunge and thought that if something was screwy to take care of it BEFORE trying to upgrade to a new version.

That's a thought. We'll see if it comes with a sim. If not, I'll consider cutting it. If I fuck it up, then I have to go.

That is quite odd. If ChainDD's Superuser is working, then when you install Koush's Superuser, you run it, it should say the binary needs to be updated, then ask for SU rights from ChainDD Superuser....if you grant them, it should be able to update the su binary. You're saying this process is failing?

After running the HoB fxz and root process I was left without a superuser app, VooDoo was there but no su app. I originally tried koush's version as well as super su. Neither of those work without installing the chainsdd version first, granting access, then install the other superuser and it will allow updating the binaries.
I was confused as to why the chainsdd one was the only one that would work and be able to grant permission to itself to update the binaries.
