Yes, you need that to be updated.  You MIGHT have to do some stuff to get it to work.  If it's not done soon, I want you to reboot your phone, go into app settings, find Superuser, clear the cache for it, then try to update the su binary again.  Let me know if that works.

I'll just do that. It's taking forever.

Sounds like a plan.  Let's hope it works.  Else we may have to try some other fun crap.  I want that su binary updated and protected by voodoo before you even consider doing the update.

It worked! I am updated. Went into Voodoo, deleted protected root and then did it again so that it's protected with the updated SU. So, now I temp un-root and flash JB in recovery?

Another satisfied customer. I did my fxz yesterday after loading from the sd card failed due to me installing beats audio and overriding the audio_effects.config. I rerooted, protected and installed. Super SU was active when I rebooted, entitlement hack good to go.

I would caution ANYONE about doing mods to their system partition unless they're willing to risk losing root permanently.  Because if you F up your system partition, I can fix it, but, you WILL lose root in the process.

Yeah, it was a fleeting thought while perusing the files in my Android desktop folder, i understand the risk and its not worth the potential of losing root. The days of reckless abandon are over lol

I guess I'm a little braver on the backup bionic than this one :D I just kept praying that I wouldn't have to do the walk of shame to the corner! Haha

still getting root on JB for the Bionic has to be somewhat the same as before. I have noticed (although i might be wrong) getting root from GB to ICS only seems to have changes in the files names and locations for getting root. Meaning how root was achieved not where the su and superuser files go. Not having any knowledge of the Razr i would assume the same thing goes for it as well. I know i might be wrong but i doubt getting root for JB Bionic is much different.  I think it is just a matter of finding the right files to use in acquiring root.

Someone please let me know if i am wrong.
