Next WTF moment. RSD says this. My phone is on and connected. Does it want me to turn it off and on? This sounds like it should be off.

If it flashed all 21 images it's good to reboot and then reroot with or reboot into ap fastboot root with HoB and then protect

Unique self supporting bionic community, a padwan or two for all the vets, you did that Sam.

That was certainly the intention and goal.  Our community has come a LONG way.  Let's not ever forget those who came first and taught the likes of me. :)

She needs to follow my directions exactly.  Otherwise she runs the risk of being in the same position that half the people ended up in with half root.  I'm trying to spare her that bullshit.  It's not fun.  She wants to just restore root after the update and be done.

Which is exactly why I tried to quash the "tim dissed sarge in DL" blather.

Without timmy10shoes none of this would be the same. I think Timmy opened a lot of peoples eyes to things you CAN do on an OMAP moto instead of bitc$%#g about the stuff you can't do. Taught a lot of us to make lemonade.

Ignore what RSD says and close it.  What you told me in the moot thread told me you already did the radio $#!+.  So tell RSD to piss off and you're done FXZ'ing.  Now you need to root.  Then follow my directions for updating Superuser and SU.  Finally, protect root.  Then you can do the update.

Got it. OK, now I'm assuming that I push the JB update zip to my external SD card then flash in recovery?

Timmy is one of my mentors.  Still to this day.  He tried to help me with root.  I stay out of the feud between them and we don't need to rehash that stuff in public.  It's between them and them alone.  I respect them both.  But Timmy has my ultimate respect because after a 36 hour nerve wracking brick over Xmas in 2011, Timmy managed to help me fix my Bionic and get me back on the OTA path.  I learned a LOT of what I know from that experience.  Timmy and CellZealot are people I highly look up to...they taught me everything I know.

You updated Superuser, updated the su binary from the info tab in Superuser, and protected it with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper?

That should work! It will take a bit so don't worry too much.

Yea, guys, I got this.  Really.  :)  I don't want Staf to do a whole bunch of crap to get root back when she's done, so, I'll handle it.

You updated Superuser, updated the su binary from the info tab in Superuser, and protected it with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper?

Eh, no. Rectifying step I forgot. Then I'll go. I updated the binary without updating superuser. Currently updating binary on updated superuser and it's taking forever.

Should the SU Binary Updater really be taking this long? Should I just go do the dishes?

What version does it say the su binary is?

Says the updated is 3.1.1 and I'm on 3.0.something. Dishes, I guess.

Yes, you need that to be updated.  You MIGHT have to do some stuff to get it to work.  If it's not done soon, I want you to reboot your phone, go into app settings, find Superuser, clear the cache for it, then try to update the su binary again.  Let me know if that works.
