You are evil for tempting me

I didn't post it for people to be tempted. I posted it for my testers to test root exploits. Because we don't have a working one...like I expected. Pretty much, we're boned.

Voodoo should work as long as you don't to RDS flash?

Voodoo will work to keep root initially. If you bork your phone and have to flash system for any reason, GLWT...you'll lose root permanently.

Is there an updated su binary link .

Well, since I'm not on the OTA soak invite list this time, I'll wait since we can't flash it and keep root

Alright Sam let me rephrase my question .
How does one make sure their su binary is up to date. I am currently rooted but stock. I also have reinstalled voodoo root keeper. I checked the su app for updates but it looks like their last update was last July. Does that mean I'm up to date? I looked at the HOB thread where you mentioned you would provide a link and didn't see one.
I know you hate to repeat yourself, I've tried to keep up to speed on things as best as I can. However I've been out of the game for a while.
Maybe you can throw me a hint : : : :
One more question,
Do I need to unfreeze my frozen apps in tibu to take the update ?

You have to go into the su app (whichever one you're using), and from there, check for su binary update. I think you were checking in play store for updates.

If only I made a thread for that su thing....Oh wait, I did!
As for unfreezing, you know better. Must be COMPLETELY stock.

Thanks Sam ! Looks like a morning full of reading . Any questions I may have I will post in that thread.
I hope this JB is worth the hassle of me not working this morning to prepare my beloved Bionic

If it's any consolation I'm not taking this update right now. I don't like being vulnerable to losing root.

Ok, so If I go through the motions like the old ways with added things, will it work?
1. Put update on external SD card.
2. Create Voodoo / SU root file
3. Temp unroot
4. Install update from SD card.
5. crank up SU and Voodoo and restore back up.
Sound right?

I'm not either Sam, only as a last resort if nobody can come up with a way to perm the root.
