Um, that's an odd question. The next update for Bionic requires 246, so, I guess the answer is yes. This is a program to capture an OTA zip file.

Not so odd if you think about since i am on 247 but I understand it does sound like it.

I will go back to 246 to do some testing for Matt.

Anything we should know before hand or is it all self explanatory within the app?

I mean with the other OTA thing (can't remember the name at this time) you had to setup this setup that than run it.

Should be straight forward. And this really only applies to those in the soak test because by the time the OTA comes out we'll know if this works or not. I won't be one of the ones testing this, for example.

If like the other app it would grab it even if you wasn't part of a soak test does this one not operate in that manner?

I mean it would show anything new on the servers and allow you to get it in a manner of speaking.

Uh, what? No. This isn't cheesecake. That has been dead since October. This is simply a tool to grab the OTA from the cache once it's downloaded to your phone. Hence the requirement of being in the soak test so that there is an update to grab.

Ok, now we know what the app does time to let the testers take over with their comments.

No errors in your log so sadly there's not a lot I can do to help. Likely hardware problem.

OMAP flash Sam, and you know it. Hook him up with the files. I know it will fix it.

The OMAP flashing is not something you just "try". When there's a hardware problem, you get the hardware replaced, not make it worse using a process shown to not work...

Iirc an Atrix not a bionic. As Sam said, they've tested it. Huge fail.

So? One guy does not make it a solution people should start using. NO ONE else was able to reproduce those results and several people permanently bricked their phone trying. It's HIGHLY irresponsible to suggest and recommend an approach that ONE person has used successfully and MANY OTHERS have failed to use.

One person on XDA got it to work on his Bionic. Everyone else who's tried since then has bricked their phone permanently. Enough said.

His flashing issues for insurance claim;-) Plus it would be funny. Why can't JRbliss unlock our phones with his mad skills?
