And so the plot thickens! Inexplicably, the FXZ flash seemed to take this time, though I swear I changed nothing at all about the procedure. However, once the phone is restarted for any reason, it will go back into a boot loop.

Here is the text from SEDL.text

Once it rebooted, the phone began to work, though it looks like RSD Lite is looking for the device to reboot and isn't finding whatever it's looking for, as it still says "reboot" in the status.
I hope that helps. Thank you for your time. I really appreciate your help!

No errors in your log so sadly there's not a lot I can do to help. Likely hardware problem.

Sorry I couldn't do more to fix it. The fxz is our last resort. If it flashes successfully and the phone still doesn't boot then there's something physically wrong. Not a lot of fun.

I don't know...are you going to add it to the HoB? :) The HoB is self sufficient. It doesn't require me to do anything to support a new update. There are directions for adding one. If you're asking if I intend to host the file, no, I don't, but, it should be readily available (i.e. all over this forum) once the soak test actually drops. (Soak emails != soak test happening now)

Naw. I've done all I'm gonna do. I'll certainly help people with the upgrade but the HoB doesn't need any further development. One thing people will need to be aware of is that we WILL need a new root exploit. I'm not sure if one of the existing Moto JB exploits will work for us or not. I'll be making a post later about how to preserve root through the update, but, if you ever have to flash system for any reason, you will have lost root without a new exploit.

Oh...well I'll certainly be looking for that then. I'd hate to lose my root...I'm on 4.2.2 from the Pacman ROM and its amazing.

That's going to be our biggest issue. Cause if you screw up your phone, any FXZ is going to blast root. If there's no working exploit, we're done. We can keep it through the OTA but that's all that's known so far.

Sorry, I have been away dealing with other crap, but I read that JB does now allow for off-loading apps to the SD card (on another forum about another manufacturer's handset). SD card is now only for pix and music and so forth?

Anyone know?

Stock app manager does not, but you can still use a third party app to do that.

Those of you with soak emails awaiting the OTA would be good candidates for that so please help Matt out if you can. I believe root will be required.
