I don't know that it would bring enough benefit or interest to warrant the work needed. The being said I don't know if Matt still has his Razr or not.

There is one feature I wish Matt would steal from my code. I'll talk to him about it. It'd REALLY help you guys a lot. I automated the boot img creation for installing new updates. It does all the work for you given a new update and your FXZ. ;)

You two will be partnering up with jb builds. Any luck with cheesecake on ics? I thought I remembered you guys having an idea

I believe the idea was to build a GB ROM based on the kernel from ICS 246 leak/OTA, spoof it to report to the cheesecake servers as the ICS OTA, but the ROM itself would be GB and able to run the cheesecake goodness. So far, nobody has come forward and claimed this project as their own

Linux/Mac 1.6 RELEASE

o) Fixed bug in reinstall function for use with the 246 FXZ
o) Added idiot check for those that don't pay attention when I say "DO NOT put the FXZ files in a sub-directory"
o) Updated FAQ and HoB htm files.

Is it still possible to get the 247 leak and use it with HoB? Trying to get a Bionic to work on Page Plus with the 3g data but everything Im reading indicates I should use 247.

If you can find it, you can set it up for use with the HoB.

I'm confused. What's. 247 gonna do that . 246 won't? They are practically the same build..just what, 20 kbs or so and a different build number

Wish I knew. I used HoB to put .246 on clean, at first boot changed the PRL with a reboot and walked through activation. Currently the phone has voice and sms but cant even get 1x data.

I've made it very clear what I support and what I don't. You wanna do 247, that's fine. But to ask me if I have a link for it when I've clearly said the only version I currently support is the 246 OTA build is rather annoying. That'd be why I said "if you can find it". That doesn't mean turn around and ask me for it.

Whoa. Please don't get me wrong. I never expected you to provide me with one. Maybe some advice as to where to look at my own risk, but not provide me with a file you do not support. I appreciate you even taking the time to think about helping me. I am sorry if I offended you and I apologize. tyminc was nice enough to provide me with the file and I appreciate him as well. I might know a thing or two but I know when I am over my head and this is it. You know so much more than me its not even funny. Bad thing is this isnt even my phone. So again please dont take my joke ( and a failure at that) personally. It was meant to offend or annoy you.

Understand how much nonsense I get per day from people on every forum. Then you'll know why I respond as harshly as I do. It's also the reason for the big red warning in the OP.

I do understand. I am a computer technician by trade and have to deal with the same type of nonsense myself. That is why I was so quick to apologize. And although I did read the big red warning in OP my own aggravation with this phone got the better of me. So again I am sorry for the poor joke. I will take full responsibility if this does not work. Heck I couldn't blame you even if I wanted to.

I wanna thank SamuriHL for all the hard work putting this together and maintaining it. I used the Linux version, a few days back, to upgrade, and everything went off without a hitch. :D

Hi, I hate to be one of those who just can't seem to get anything working, but I just can't seem to get anything working. I have read the README, FAQ, and .246 Installation guide. ICS fails to install via the OTA; I have done the factory reset in case I tampered with a program. I decided to try HoB, but so far, all I have managed to do is break root :-(. I hope someone can help me. I am using the linux/mac version of HoB. If I understand it correctly, I have the downloaded .246 FXZ file unzipped in a folder titled 246_FXZ; I have this folder placed in SDCARD-EXT section of my phone. I have USB debugging enabled.

Here is what happens when I attempt to reroot:

Linux/Mac House of Bionic Version: 1.5

Make Sure USB Debugging Is Enabled and You Are In MTP Mode
Press Enter To Continue

Resetting ADB...

Unable to chmod /data: Operation not permitted
Unable to chmod /data: Operation not permitted

Rooted.
All Done!
Press Enter To Finish

Here is what happens when I attempt to install the ICS FXZ 246 update:

Linux/Mac House of Bionic Version: 1.5

Ready to flash fxz_keep...
* Flashing will take about 10-20 minutes
[NOTE: Your phone must be in AP Fastboot]

Get Ready To Break Out Your Sudo
Press Enter when ready to start flashing

Password:
error: cannot load './*_FXZ/allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin'

< waiting for device >
rebooting into bootloader... OKAY [ 0.006s]
Press Enter to continue when the phone is back in AP Fastboot

error: cannot load './*_FXZ/mbmloader.bin'

error: cannot load './*_FXZ/mbm.bin'

< waiting for device >
rebooting into bootloader...

Usually it hangs there, but on occasion, it will attempt to process more files that it cannot load. I'm at my wits end here, folks. Any help would make my day!

Install 1.6 so it can give you the idiot message I mention in my release notes.

Here's a hint: ./*_FXZ/
