Could be a bad adapter. Email TBH and see if there's anything they can do for you.

At the risk of really losing your good-side, I must ask another question.
When I started the process just now, I got this...

Any chance you have it in you to help me with this.....even with a sharp, sarcastic jab ( ;) )?

That's nice. Has absolutely nothing at all to do with what I said to do but that's wonderful.

 I think I get it now, but I will post what I was just about to post before I noticed your response...

Do you mean that I should stop the process, start again, and when it asks which flash mode I want to use, to choose '2) Fasboot' instead of '1) RSD'?
If so, cool. I will try that next.

It's just ironic though (this is just for giggles...)...when I first got to that menu of options, I wasn't sure which to choose, but I didn't want to waste another stupid question by simply asking in here (because, I assume that this particular choice would be obvious to a more experienced user, and I didn't want to heap another layer of annouance on you  ). So, I searched the thread, and found where you said to someone else,
"I would recommend RSD as the flash mode of choice. That is my preferred mode when flashing.".
When I read that, I figured, OK...it might be out of context a bit, but it sounds like RSD might generally be the better option. So, that's what I went with.

Seriously though, should I just halt the script, leave the Bionic as it is, and restart the script to go and choose the fastboot option this time around?

Hahaha, sorry. I did read it....many times. I guess I just missed where it addressed this particular issue.

Anyway, I halted the script, restarted it, toggled to fastboot mode, and it appears to be running fine.

Thanks again, and once again, where's the donation PayPal address?

---> NOT PANICING <---

- just processing out loud -

I reran the script as stated above, and now, it's just sitting there with a blank, black screen.
I know something like that is covered in the FAQ, but in my case, I'm getting no "vibrations".

So, should I follow that particular FAQ, or does the abscence of vibrations mean something significantly different?

....wait....now I just got the 'startup sound', and then after some more time, it just seemed like it was starting up as usual, but just without showing anything on the screen, except different variations of 'blackness'....like mostly it's just low-light black, and then every once in a while, it will flash or flicker a slightly brighter (though still blank) black screen.

Oh....and now, it's doing the vibrations thing <-- there it is!

So, I guess this is the BSOD in the FAQ.

Well, at least I feel secure in knowing that I'm not alone

Thanks again.
I will just follow on now with the next steps in the process as per the FAQ...

if you are running .246 you are running OTA.

Hi. Sorry to bother all. I just used HOB 9.2 to FXZ my Bionic from 232 I had installed with an older HOB to the official 246.
After it says it's all done and my phone boots up, under About Phone in System version it says "6.7.246.XT875.Verizon.en.US" and Android verions "4.0.4". Build number though says "6.7.2-223_DBN_M4-23". Is that "223" in build number just an artifact I can safely ignore?

It was answered a couple post back that version number is the only one that maters, build number is something different entirely

Thanks, Sam.
I'm now on ICS. Woohoo! :-)

Wow though...what an anticlimactic piece of $h!t this is. Huge dissapointment
I thought maybe it would make some of the slowness and glitchiness go away, and I thought it would be cool to get some new features, but wow, not happy at all. I feel violated.

TOTALLY HAPPY with HoB though.
It works perfectly.
You rock!

Give if 4 days. If it's still "slow and glitchy" factory reset it. But NOT until 4 days.
