I figured I'd go looking on Ebay for an older phone. What was the last unlockable version on the Razr HD.
Last unlockable version?

9.16.9 was the last one. But, if for some reason they took the next OTA and then downgraded back to 9.16.9, you're hosed. The exploit will have been patched by that point and you won't be able to unlock it.
I would go and find one that is already unlocked. I've seen a number of them on eBay going for about $230+. Mind you, that's auction, not the Buy It Now price. I'm sure the Buy It Now price is over $500.

I have several unlockable ...(mother boards)?? Everything except the battery, ear phone jack ,rear camera and screen/digitizer on 9.16.9. I have them left over after a lot of asurion claims lol (kept breaking the screens) I wonder if there is a market for such boards ?

I figured I'd go looking on Ebay for an older phone. What was the last unlockable version on the Razr HD.
I'm fixing to sell my RAZR maxx HD, mint condition, unlocked bootloader on official KitKat with cwm recovery, can be downgraded to jellybean if wanted. Used a custom fxz. Looking to get $350.00 out of it. I'll be listing it on swappa when I'm ready to sell it.

Go into fastboot and make sure it's not unlocked, first.

This is why you have to be careful. Luckily, you have the 30-day guarantee, so that's good. Still, sad people either falsely advertise the phone or else, they have no clue as to what they are saying in their descriptions.
That's why, it's best to actually look for one that is advertised as already being unlocked. Heck, I'd request a photo from the boot screen to make sure it says it's unlocked before committing to buying it.

About 2 months ago, I bought an xt926m on E-bay for $202 in auction. It was already cleaned up and came with CM-10 as advertised. I cleaned it up a bit more. It is now being used on AT&T and its user is chasing CM-11 nightlies. No LTE though. H+ speeds are fine in SF Bay Area.
I notice some of you are on xt1080 devices so I am going off topic a bit.
I now have an xt1080 Dev Ed that came with stock Vzn 19.6.3-obake (unrooted). There is at least 200k of crap-ware on it, probably more. My first cleanup step is to flash root, but I haven't been able to find a CWM recovery that I think will work.
I am looking here:
and here:
I dont see any of xt1080, or Droid Ultra/Maxx/Mini.
On philz site:
there is only "moto_msm8960" and no "moto_msm8960dt".
What CWM recovery did you guys use?
Thanks
