What USB setting should the razr be on? For 4.04, the only options are Mass Storage and Camera Mode. Charge only is not an option.

Are you trying to root, fastboot back to stock? it seems odd to me that you are missing the mtp option...

Just a follow up been running Skull Candy for a few months now no problems had to download another wireless teather program found that SVTP-Lite works well. Oh and if you like Texas Holdem Live Holdem is Awsome its free no ads and i got over 1mill in chippies now. Acecducec is name on game. I backup my whole Rom once a month with safe strap to keep a current copy. This is by far THE BEST ROM! and the startup graphics are a nice touch always like to show off the boot screen. THANKS MATT.

OH, ON A SIDE NOTE LOSS OF SOUND: This is a problem with many droids and ROMS the Sound quits working on Droid. To Quick fix sound on Droid send yourself a text message Fixes it every time.

Greetings, folks. Semi-noob here (ok, noob). The Droid Razr Maxx is my 2nd phone. First was an LG Axis AS740 which I rooted. I now have an XT908. Having trouble finding reliable info on rootin this particular model.

Particulars:

6.16.300.XT908.ACG-nTelos.en.US

ICS 4.0.4

firmware GAS_NA_GCXSPYDERNT

baseband version N_04.23.00R

Kernel version 3.0.8-ga0b5673

With it being model XT908, I have yet to find any dependable root info; ie a download that someone says will work.

Any help to be had out there?

I've tried looking all over for firmware for this with the information, but nothing popped up. We may get some eventually, we'll see.

The root should probably still work though.

I found some fast boot files that had "spydtel" in the name. Thought maybe it was a mix of spyder and attel lol.

looking for some help please!
was using my xt910 this morning at work then it turned off,
tried turning back on and it kept going into bootloop.
tried to reflash it to ICS but the program gives some validation errors
this in turn gives 3 lines of text under the boot loader on the phone, these are:
invalid cg otv, invalid sp data
invalid cg version
invalid cg otv

any help would be greatly recieved, iv got hardly any knowledge with these phones. thanks

Go ahead you're fine to use it on .215

Regarding rooting the xt908. The current Moto fail root exploit for ICS should also work on your firmware. This is according to a post by CellZealot over on XDA. Still looking for fastboot files.

Did you extract the zip to your desktop..... and run the .bat file from within the extracted folder?

Try un-zipping the utility again (i recommend to your desktop... e.g.... c:\users\"your username"\desktop\ .... (overwrite if asked) .... then open the folder and run the .bat file again.... if the .bat file is moved out of the folder it will not be able to "see" the adb files.... thus you will get the "adb not recognized..." error....
