This is a little embarrassing....I made a mistake yesterday when I was updating to safestrap v3, so I used the utility again to flash .211. I can't seem to root though. I get hung up on waiting for device. USB connected, usb debugging enabled, connected as mtp, and I installed the motorola drivers from the utility. I tried a FDR as suggested...nothing. Not sure where to go from here.

Try rebooting both the phone and computer.... When you plug back in switch to camera mode (wait for the computer to "see" it then switch back to mtp.... See if that helps

Did you make sure you unziped the utility folder to the desktop?

Try rebooting both the phone and computer.... When you plug back in switch to camera mode (wait for the computer to "see" it then switch back to mtp.... See if that helps

lol Tried that before....I'm pretty sure it just laughs at me when I do that now!

lol, it wont be laughing if i remote in it, it will be scared .. Also make sure you disable virus software and malware maybe even a firewall or 2..

Tried again with Avast in silent mode, still 'waiting for device'

Wow, odd, try a different usb port, and or cord? Make sure its not on a USB 3.0.., did you rebuild your pc lately and not install all the drivers for usb? It's like its not even talking to the phone at all.. Also Uninstall any other moto software you may have installed, and reboot, try winrar and unzip the utility again?

Dont run the root option (2) in ap fastboot....

well, first off a big thanks to the dev team for the utility here, using the 1.82 root for 4.0.4 on my razr maxx worked nice and easy. now how do i revert the changes as i have to mail the phone back to verizon for replacement and im at a loss thx in advance.

If you run option 1 of the utility... It will reset the phone to 100% stock ....
