Morning all,

I sent for a replacement RAZR MAXX as my touchscreen was buggy sometimes. I fastbooted back to stock after wiping everything through safestrap recovery (data/cache/dalvik) and chose option 1 fastboot, but now I'm unable to boot into stock recovery. Am I not understanding something? Should I have uninstalled safestrap first? When I power up with power and vol buttons and choose Recovery, it brings me to the Android on its side with the red triangle around the exclamation point, but recovery never comes up and the phone reboots after a few minutes.

Any thoughts? I want to be able to return this without them being able to detect this was rooted, but at this point I'm a little concerned.

Thanks all.

Press volume up and volume down at the same time on that screen..... stock recovery should come up then....

Oh bloody hell, they couldn't just make it easy could they. Thanks a lot John, you're my new favorite backwoods buddy.

On that note, the firmware is showing qe 0/1 which iirc indicated "was once rooted but now isn't." Hopefully won't be a problem for swapping out. Does anyone have any experience sending back once rooted devices to the manufacturer?

Got it. Fingers crossed then, and thanks again for the help.

If they don't bill me $300 I'll check back to give the all clear.

Now back to my mission of finding a CM10 mod for CDMA that isn't buggy as hell...

Hello again. Back from work and did what you suggested, but I still get the "adb" error. I also tried extracting the .zip file to my user directory. There are 2 user accounts on my desktop, mine set up as administrator. Same result with that. Any other suggestions will certainly be appreciated. Thanks for your continued help!

I wanted to follow up, and see if your problem was solved? Did the other pc work? Did you try and re-download the utility?
