Same as flashing the ROM. In safe strap choose install and select the gapps.

ok... the phone isn't working. the actual phone to make and receive calls. all i hear is silence when trying to make a call,. no ring or anything.
everything else seems to work great.
tried reactivating phone via *228 and i got through but the keyboard disappeared so I couldn't actually press 1 like it asked me to.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me. No phone! But I soon realized after playing around with it that if I turned off the bluetooth that I could then use the phone. This ROM is definitely DEAD.

I just found the same thing... Sucks too becauseI really like this ROM otherwise.

BT calling is a problem on all JB ROMs running on the ICS kernel that I know of. As far as this forum being dead, I think most devs and crack flashers have moved on to JB kernel ROMs. There are some excellent ones on this website and...everything works!

You will need to flash stock JB to your device first. Matt has a utility and thread on how to do that. You won't be sorry. JB ROMs are GREAT...everything works!

Read the instructions three times to ensure you understand everything because you could lose root it you make a mistake...but if you are accustomed to flashing ROMs you should have no problem. Good Luck!

I think that's where I'm making my mistake...I have safestrap 3.11 and i'm just installing it as I would any ROM that I would flash, in slot 1.

No you have to side load it in fast boot mode.... If I remember right you may have went to far already... I know you have to use matts utility for ICS and some other stuff. Sorry it's late I'm tired but there are threads on here for updating to jb

Is that done by going into the Moto recovery and then loading from SD ext.? tried that also and it failed. tried two different DL's of JB in case one was corrupt but neither worked.
