What version are you running? Kexec or stock?

Have you tried fixing permissions in safe strap? The only gallery fc I get is in video when I try to take a still and that's because of the stock kernel. If still it fc's then re install 1.3 tight over you current install and see if that fixes it.

I tried to fix permissions and that didn't work. So I try to reinstall the rom it also did not work so I'm not sure. Thanks for the suggestion though.

just fyi that i was running the current version of cyancore1.3, and i booted into safestrap to install cyancore1.3 revised and everything went great, but when i rebooted, it was stuck on the boot animation. i had to go back into safestrap and wipe data before it would boot. everything works great now, but i had to reinstall everything.

just letting you know because i think your post said that i should have been able to install the update right over the current one without wiping or reflashing gapps. i may have done something wrong.

overall, i love the rom. much faster than stock.

fyi im running safestrap 3.04 on the regular xt912 droid razr.

Is it worth the upgrade from V1.2 if you have to reinstall? I'm thinking on upgrading but then read your post, so thought I'd ask about any differences being worth it.

yes, i would say its worth the upgrade. these guys at speedcore are making a pretty cool rom. every version is a little bit nicer.

plus, once you reinstalled from wiping data the first 25 times, it gets a lot easier. ive been doing it since the original droid, so i guess its not a big deal anymore.

good luck.

also, my opinion, safestrap 3.04 is a must. love it!! and i can boot my stock rom with data any time i want.

Okay so here's the deal:
When updating to CyanCore V1.3 revised or JellyCoreV1.3, you WILL need to do a factory reset/data wipe. App2zip has been included so you can save all your apps AND their data.

Since the newest 1.3 versions now have OTA, you shouldn't need to factory reset after 1.3. OTA will not flash for you, it just notifies and provides the download link when I tell it to release the next build.

Rotech, that is a soft brick. Just reboot into ss, factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and cache, and re-install the rom.

Running CyanCore 1.3 revised... Coming from Simplex 1.3... First thing I noticed is that this is *fast*. Native Google Now is awesome. Appreciate the ability to remove stock messaging. Still figuring out the advanced settings.

Only weird issue so far is that the soft button lights stay on randomly after the screen is off. I really can't make any rhyme or reason of it. If I do, I'll try to update. Other than that, I can live with the wonky rotate as long as the camera works.

I appreciate the inclusion of the OTA notifier. Looking forward to using that!

Thanks!

Oh, thought of something else I was going to ask... Coming from Simplex 1.3 to CyanCore 1.3 revised, my signal strength seems to be different... as in, signal shows lower in CyanCore than Simplex. Is this just a difference in how JB reports signal strength, or is there something else going on?

Are you using the SS that was designed for your phone? I had those symptoms when I accidentally installed SS for the wrong device a few weeks ago.

I noticed the same thing while sitting at my house. Is this normal with JB?
