So what advantages does kexec offer? Does the Jellybean OS without the associated kernel still offer the kind of performance advantages over ICS that a stock Jellybean phone has? I'm having a hard time finding information about it.

Love the Jelly goodness. I'm running stock and this thing is incredibly smooth, everything seems to work fine except for the minor camera issues mentioned in OP. Great work.

I been running the Kexec version and its solid, runs smooth, no freezes, no overheating, everything works except the camera which is already mentioned in the OP. Pretty amazing rom

Havent run stock but want to know if anyone had any overheating issues, cuz thats the problem i been having with other AOKP roms.

fast and very smooth.
but this is just a toy for me to play with until bluetooth phone calls are working.
would definately make this a daily driver if BT worked.

i'll check back in a few weeks to see if BT issue solved.
thanks for your work!

Does anyone know what happened to the transparent status bar? I know it used to be an option with AOKP.

Thanks

You can try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and switching the data network to GSM only and then back to LTE/CDMA/ GSM

Im running Kexec 1.1 - installed wonderfully and after a day of heavy use have only had one freeze. Do you guys know what the 5th icon at the top or the notifications screen represents? It almost looks like a pink hat or something. Keep up the great work and thanks tons!

It says the camera on stock works, and does not mention bugs. What kind of bugs?

The bug related to flash, is what I assume he's referring to.
