What is JellyCore?
JellyCore is Team SpeedCore's specialized version of JellyBean. JellyCore has all of Team SpeedCore's signature personalization.


Several Builds!
STS Dev team is responsible for creating an android_local.xml manifest for the Droid Razr. This file essentially tells google source what files are needed to make the Droid Razr work for the rom base. Currently these roms are available to be built from source:
-NOTE- I am no longer working on kexec builds. If kexec is updated and is more stable than stock, I will continue again.

AOKP
Camera works but auto-rotate looks buggy, this version is if you like aokp, but also want camera.

CYANOGENMOD 10
Camera works, has buggy rotation, but this version has best performance/battery life. Extremely snappy, and has all the CyanogenMod customization.

CODENAME ANDROID
This rom is awesome because it has all the sweet settings from AOKP and Cyanogenmod compiled into one rom.

AOSP
This rom is completely stock, no cool system menus.

-NEW-
Paranoid Android - Built by istick
This rom base has a little bit of CM10/AOKP and also some sweet hybrid phone/phablet/tablet settings!

All I ask is for patience because I am now maintaining A LOT separate roms and also the builds may not come out at the same time.
Building from source does not work every time. If I can't build it on a certain day, chances are NO one can, until STS Dev team fixed their manifest file/updates repo.

What is the difference from DualCore?
JellyCore is a JellyBean rom so obviously it runs much smoother than the ICS DualCore
CyanCore is Cyanogenmod based
HDMI is not functional YET
Webtop is not functional YET
Built-in WIFI hotspot doesn't ask for charge$$ anymore
GoogleNow apps
SafeStrap 2.11 is REQUIRED, newer versions also work.

Installing SafeStrap Instructions:

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

You will need to remove SafeStrap V2.0 if you are still running it, and install SafeStrap 2.11.

Make sure you are on your "Safe" system when fully remove SafeStrap, because whatever you are running will become your "Safe" system when you install SafeStrap V2.11.

EDIT* Any newer versions of SafeStrap also work. Please follow these instructions if you choose to update SafeStrap.


Instructions to REMOVE SafeStrap V2.0:

• Open the SafeStrap V2 app. If you don't have it anymore, download it. Make sure you get V2.0.
• Click Uninstall Recovery.
• Uninstall the SafeStrap V2 app.
• Remove all SafeStrap folders from Internal SD card and External SD card.
• Now you can install SafeStrap V2.11 and up. All you need to do is install the v2.11 app, open it, and click install recovery.

Rom Installation:
THE ONLY SUPPORTED METHOD OF INSTALLATION FOR THIS ROM IS SAFESTRAP V2.11 (and up).
PLEASE DO NOT REPORT BUGS IF YOU INSTALLED THIS WITH BOOTSTRAP OR ANY EARLIER VERSION OF SAFESTRAP.

• Boot into SafeStrap.
• Install from SDcard. I have set the rom to wipe your data EVERY time. (V1.0 only)
• Install Gapps.
• Beast it up on your SpeeCored phone

If going from one rom to another, such as CyanCoreV1 to CyanCore Kexec V1.1, you will only need to wipe data/factory reset. The other wiping (system, cache and dalvik-cache) are already wiped in the updater script. You will need to flash Gapps.

System Tuneup SPEEDCORE GUIDE

This guide will show you how to utilize all of the added features into the JellyCore series ROMs.
These roms have been tweaked out to the max, to give you the best performance and battery life possible.
Here's what all you can do:

Changing the Governor:
In System Tuneup, press CPU. You can change the governor here. There are a few options to choose from that have been added in.
Make sure to check apply on boot.
Changing the I/O:
Press SD. I recommend changing the I/O to SIO.
Applying on boot:
In either CPU or SD menu you will see a Boot Settings button. Press this. In here you can tell the CPU and SD tweaks to start on boot. Use On Boot Completed.
IF YOU DO NOT SEE MODULES, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
Open Script Manager. Select Browse as root. Accept permission. Click OK.
Navigate to System/etc/init.d
Tap 90modues.
Tap the Su and Boot flag.
Click run to make sure it works. If it does you will not see any output. If there's an error, you will see it. (File exists) means it is already loaded.
Hit you back button.
Make sure there is the green pirate android icon and gear icon next to 90modules.
You will now have all modules loaded every time you turn your phone on. Use System Tuner to configure. ^^^^

You are good to go! Enjoy the speed and battery life!

If you like, please report which governor/ I/O combination runs the best for you.

The Doctor's Recommendation
Here are The Doctor's current optimized settings for getting your rom to run at its best.

• TSC and I were actually talking and it sounds like he is going to revisit his tweaks, so mine could change based on what he does. There have also been a number of changes to ROM Tool Box, but you can also do the same via System Tuner or any other kind of Root App that will tweak your system files. And again, myself or any of the Dev's are not responsible to bad mojo on your phone. These are tweaks that are working for me and I am just sharing them, and I DO NOT USE the Performance option in CM10. It doesn't work properly with the kernel and a 3rd Party App does. IF you brick your phone, it's on you (but there is a fix now ):
  
• Open ROM Tool Box and scroll over to "Performance"
• Click CPU Control. I am using I/O Scheduler SIO and it's cooking so far love the additional read/write speed. I am also on the "pegasusq" Governor Check apply on Boot
• Back out and then click "Kernel Tweaks" I am NO LONGER tweaking the Sysctl Tweaks. TSC already has this tweaked out and putting these tweaks on top of his tweaks is putting too much strain on the OS, and killing the Battery faster. Scroll over to Governor and check "Apply at boot" I have played with these settings here and there, and for now and on this kernel I am finding the default is working pretty good
• Back out and click "Memory Manager" I have played with all options, and I am finding that the "Optimal" setting is best when you compare Battery Life vs Performance. Yes, you get better performance cranking this all the way up, but Battery life suffers. If you have to have 2D/3d Graphics firing on all cylinders, then crank this all the way up. Click "Apply" and then check "Apply at boot"
• Back out and click SD Boost. The optimal setting is "2048KB" I have ran the benchmarks and "3072kb" is an improvement but again, makes your CPU work harder using more battery. The difference is significant though, but I still landed on 2048KB

Reported Bugs:

Currently ALL JellyBean roms experience these issues, you may be lucky and not have them all but they are known:
-Battery drain that can vary depending on rom, none are as stable as plain ICS
-MMS is known to either work or not work, if it does cool, if not, that's normal.
-Camera flash does not work, some report that the pro version of FX Camera works, but I havent so dont take my word for it
-No webtop or HDMI support
-Barcode and QR readers do not work
-Screenshot crop issue
-Screen rotation is glitchy
-Bluetooth phone calls do not work

If you come across a ROM that has overcome one of these issues, please let me know so I can contact that rom dev and implement it with their permission. Thank you.

I have never used too manager.I'll look into it. As for themes, DualCore themes are DualCore only. We will need to get some themes on board for JellyCore theming.

Since bluetooth phone calls aren't working, sorry to say i can't make this my daily driver. I drive alot and use handsfree to call clients...bluetooth needs to be working for me more than the camera. I know it's a work in progress, so patience is my friend.

Stock version installed perfectly. 4g on boot.

but.....
bluetooth phone calls stil not working!
music files play fine through bluetooth connection. not phone calls.
oh, well.
back to dualcore ics.
i'll check back every now and then.

EDIT: I've tried several other jellybean roms and this bluetooth calling bug is in all of them.
whoever solves this riddle will prove their metal. again.

very anxious to try this one out....DualCore is awesome, and I love it...but coming from a GNex, I miss JB and Google Now...so I'm downloading Stock...camera is important to me...bluetooth calls not so much...so we'll see how it is...i'm backing up my DC now...will report back my findings soon.
