SMH. I've consulted my crystal ball and determined that your error is likely due to cosmic radiation penetrating the earth's atmosphere. Of course, if I had more information to go on, like the actual error messages, maybe an RSD log, etc, I could narrow it down to a more useful response. But with what you've given me, I'm going with cosmic radiation.

Do I understand correctly that if my phone is rooted and has an unlocked bootloader I can use this method and regain root after?
Thanks!

Well, no. This is just how to flash the FXZ. To regain root you can use towel root or if you're unlocked, I recommend learning the fairly simple process of flashing custom recovery and flashing supersu zip in recovery. Search for it...the info is on the forum.

OK, thanks Samuri for your response and all your work on the forums.
I've had twrp on there since unlocking so I'll search and find out what I need to do to get it back on after flashing the FXZ.

fastboot flash recovery twrpname.img
Immediately unplug it after flashing, then turn it off, boot up to the menu, and select recovery. Don't let it boot normal until you boot into recovery after flashing else it'll overwrite stock recovery. From there, flash supersu zip.

AWesome! Worked great. Now to remove all the bloatware and get back to normal

Anyways, long story short, I'm thinking of going back to stock 4.4.2 to see if the issues exist there (I never used it long enough because I immediately flashed CM11 and then PA after unlocking). Should I use the universal script with the FXZ to go back to stock? (I don't care really much about data but do care about having a very clean/fresh flash).
Thanks a lot!

I had it running excellent and went and got cm11 4.4.4 up when it was on a 182.xxx ??? 4.4.2 build... Now I screwed up doing something and need to re RSD. I am getting a 3/21 error or 1/17 error.. Not sure what to flash which file. Battery is charged and Motorola usb cables all correct worked last night.. any help, thanks in advance, wifes gonna kill me, her pink razr m \

If you want to dump your user data yes full install. If you want to keep your apps and settings no. Full install will give you a just out of the box install. You have to go through the setup and everything.

New member here. Background: Complete newbie to Android OS usage other than usual non rooted/unlocked state. I am not a developer at all but am able to navigate/troubleshoot PC issues pretty well. I have just unlocked and rooted two RAZR M phones and was very nervous to do so. Thank you SamuriHL...the process you provided worked perfectly. I was, before rooting and unlocking, getting an OTA push from Verizon to update the system. It is still there. This is expected from what I have been reading on the blog.
Current phone(s) state:
Rooted using towelroot
Unlocked using motopocalypse
Ran SuperSu after rooting and unlocking
System Version: 183.46.10XT907.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 4.2.2
Kernal Version: 3.4.42-g5170b6b | bdbuild@ca88nxdroid25#1 | Fri May2 00:30:06 PDT 2014
Build Number: KDA20.62-10.1
Build Date: Fri May 2 00:20:25 PDT
My question is should I go ahead and allow this update? My understanding is that if I do I will lose root but should be able to get it back as I have unlocked. If so are there any steps I should take before doing an update to ensure a smooth outcome?
Please bear with me as most of the acronyms being used here I am not familiar with yet. Also, some of the tools being used here are new to me. Been doing some research on them but am a bit overwhelmed with the amount of info I'm seeing and trying to digest. I am nervous to make many more changes due to my inexperience with this level of mods on the Android system. I have read through this thread twice and think I have gleaned a bit of useful info but would like to be sure before I turn my phone into a doorstop or have to spend hours trying to get it working again. Maybe I should stop where I am and let well enough alone.
I apologize if this question has been answered already. Perhaps I missed it or just couldn't understand what was being said. As I indicated I'm completely new to this type of thing.
Thanks in advance for any help.
