I personally recommend twrp, too, but, I know some people prefer cwm.

flashed TWRP 2.7.1.0, made a backup and now off to find a rom to flash
brings me back to the original droid days, this is fun :D

Just a heads up, must of the ROMs out there right now are based off the old kernel, so they won't work with the new CWM or TWRP.

Sure, you can downgrade back to 9.30.1 with the UNIVERSAL script.  Extract the 9.30.1 FXZ, use the script generator to generate the scripts, flash UNIVERSAL, install TWRP, and you can play with all the 4.1.2 kernel based roms.

Yea if she booted up ok, you can safely unplug it and you should be good to go.

You are awesome.  I had rooted a while back and couldn't unlock the bootloader.  The 4.4 OTA update bombed on me every time, but these tools made getting kitkat on my phone a breeze.

Plus I'm rooted again and have an unlocked bootloader.  Let the fun begin.

Hi, i unplugged and ignored the warning.

The phone works great except it reboots on it's own every hour or so.

What should i do?

should i re-do the whole process?

Thnx

You could try, but, that sounds more like some application causing it to crash.  I don't usually like to tell people to FDR unless necessary, but, if reflashing everything doesn't fix it, and it likely won't, if you can't identify the app causing it to crash like that, an FDR is likely in order.  Yes, it sucks.

Hi there,

So an FDR only fixed this for a day or so, than again random reboots every hour or so.

something is buggy there.

What should i do?

im rooted, unlocked with twrp 2710

You could try flashing the keep data script one more time, but, it's now starting to sound a lot like a hardware issue which sucks.

Yes.  You'll have to re-root when it's done and you won't lose data this time.  I can't promise it's going to fix it.  If it doesn't, I'm genuinely out of ideas so this is your best shot.

I flashed twrp 7010 using flashify and worked no problem but it's way to big for the screen and really not usable. Thoughts?? I got an unlocked Razer m and have the latest ota kit Kat installed.

You probably loaded the HD version. Get the M version from DHacker:
