I would really recommend folks with their phones warming up, you turn on CPUSleeper that tucstwo included in the ROM. I personally am having no issues and I am also overclocked. Battery life is a bit of problem, but again, I am overclocked so that's my doing. I am using governors and have made my own tweaks via ROM Toolbox. I have been trying to think as to why some of you are having this issue with over heating. At the end of the day, these are just little PCs in the palm of our hands. There's not too much too it and typically when a normal PC is overheating it means only a few variables are in play. Since most are having this issue AFTER switching to a new ROM, it's gotta be kernel related and how it interacts with JB aka your CPU is cranking too hard. Could also mean how the software is writing back and forth to the database, causing the CPU again to work hard. Start with turning on CPUSleeper. I have actually opened up the SD transfer rate up too so that it can move data back and forth in higher chunks. I am not a Dev, nor do I claim to to be an expert. I have been using PC's since the Comador 64 days, so I am just going on my 30+ years of experience.
@zwizzle....Could you please provide some more detail? Are you actually dropping data while in the middle of transferring or is the phone physically dropping the WiFi completely. Is it trying to reconnect and lock an IP address when it drops?
