Mine was heating up less with my own overclock and voltages. But I use the same combo with every ROM so I know its stable. But over clock or not I was having some battery issues. Seems something inside of "Android system" was tearing up the battery. It had 153 wakelocks in about 50 minutes.

If u don't mind, send me a pm with what your clock settings are. I'm just curious what you do different, if you don't mind. And trust me, it's not because I want to steal anything from u or anything like that. Thanks

I wish I could get my razr to heat up like this so I could figure out what was causing it to y'all.

lol i wish i could get mine to stay as cool as yours. but this rom is amazing overall, love all features, and is build solid. I just dont know how long my phone can take this kind of heat. it gets up to 106F with wifi on. anyone know what the normal range should be?

Perhaps this is common on this ROM, but I had terrible battery life (Maxx running out of juice by the afternoon, which was a shock). But oddly, it was also laggy as hell. Tried overclocked and stock clock speed both, made no difference. I thought project butter was supposed to make this really fast and smooth?

My razr isnt hot and the battery life is decent on my end. Just in general I noticed that after updating to 215 I didnt really have issues as far as heat goes. So I guess I would have to ask if those of you who are having issues are on 211? One thing I came across was an app that was eating ALL my ram. I couldnt figure out what it was so I did a full wipe re flash and still had the problem. Shortly after the reflash I got an Apex launcher force close. So I FCed it and then everything was smooth again/ So I froze it.

Did anyone get Facebook to sync contacts? It's added under system settings, I logged in, and it's said that it's synced, but I still got nothing.

Is anyone else having issues with WiFi data dropping out? Going into airplane mode for a minute seems to fix it so I don't think it's my internet.

Otherwise this ROM is amazing. First one I've flashed one in a long time and I'm loving it.

I would really recommend folks with their phones warming up, you turn on CPUSleeper that tucstwo included in the ROM. I personally am having no issues and I am also overclocked. Battery life is a bit of problem, but again, I am overclocked so that's my doing. I am using governors and have made my own tweaks via ROM Toolbox. I have been trying to think as to why some of you are having this issue with over heating. At the end of the day, these are just little PCs in the palm of our hands. There's not too much too it and typically when a normal PC is overheating it means only a few variables are in play. Since most are having this issue AFTER switching to a new ROM, it's gotta be kernel related and how it interacts with JB aka your CPU is cranking too hard. Could also mean how the software is writing back and forth to the database, causing the CPU again to work hard. Start with turning on CPUSleeper. I have actually opened up the SD transfer rate up too so that it can move data back and forth in higher chunks. I am not a Dev, nor do I claim to to be an expert. I have been using PC's since the Comador 64 days, so I am just going on my 30+ years of experience.

@zwizzle....Could you please provide some more detail? Are you actually dropping data while in the middle of transferring or is the phone physically dropping the WiFi completely. Is it trying to reconnect and lock an IP address when it drops?

Just to clarify....Are you using the USB cable that came with phone and/or a same rated cable?

Weird so after posting what I posted I took a small two hour nap or whatever and woke up to a phone that was completely dead. The phone had only been off the charger for an hour before laying down for a nap. Super weird.
Edit:looking at my battery stats. The phone was powered on for 4 hours. With Android OS 32% as the top process.

@The Doctor

I'm not sure yet because I noticed my gf has also been having problems with the WiFi on her laptop. I think I'm gonna re-flash and do some more investigation if it happens again.

I just thought of why I was having problems with this rom and my battery dying. My governor was the problem most likely. I was using hotplugx.

If it is happening on other devices then could be you router. Back up all your router settings and then do the hard reset on your router. Add your settings again if you are tweaked out and wouldn't hurt to add your devices Mac Addy in the router too. I had to reset my router back when I was on bionic. First hard reset since I bought it. Since then all was right again

First ROM flash for me on the Razr Maxx. I really like it, still setting it up so far. Will update this post as I go.

Current issues:
- GPS innacurate by 2 miles.
- Won't allow me to uninstall Nova Launcher so I can install Nova Prime.

My phone's also running really hot and that's after a few seconds of use. All of my apps FC and if I leave it on the charger for a few minutes it starts to burn up. Really enjoy this ROM, had 1.2.1 since it came out and the issues came about a few days after I flashed the update. Will try CPU sleeper to see if that resolves some of the issues (ie force closing due to to overheating) otherwise, fantastic ROM tucstwo, you did a great job!

Had been running V1.1 for about a week and all was good, loved the rom other then the messaging app FC when going into settings. Updated to 1.2 and all was good. Updated to the 1.2.1, seemed fine at first then it got laggy and locked up on me. So i figured i would go back to the 1.2 even worse phone would shut off on me. Did it this morning made me miss my first class. The only thing i can think of is sleep CPU might be causing it. Any one have an ideas? i might try a fresh install of 1.2.1.

edit: made it so set CPU wasn't running and it seems like it runs fine, now it just gets really hot.
