There is a cwm specific for KK. You must use that one. There is no twrp for this build yet.

For UNLOCKED XT926 on 4.4.2, the only working recovery currently is CWM and it specifically has to be THIS ONE.

I've got an unlocked bootloader and I went ahead and reverted to stock and then installed the motorola kitkat. It looks like there is something in there that reinstalls the stock recovery image. I've tried to flash CWM and TWRP from fastboot. The command seems to execute correctly but when I try to boot into recovery I always end up in the Stock Recovery.
Luckily I can use fastboot to fxz back to a previous the old 98.30.1 build and install the a custom recovery, but once I'm on the Official KitKat, I can't do it.
Any one else having that issue?
I don't know what I'm doing anymore.....

OK I found the kk-cwm for xt926 6.0.4.8 and that worked. Just had to boot to recovery after fastboot without booting the system first.
