BTW, I tried flashing two jb cm10 based inverted gapps packages, and neither one worked with this ROM. Both gave me an unending loop of 'com.android.phone has crashed'

Guess we'll have to keep waiting for blacked out gmail...

How would I go about installing this update package? Just flash it without formatting anything? What's the process? (Never flashed an update before in this fashion, normally would do a full device format, then flash it)

Wipe cache/dalvik then flash the update.

wipe cache partition and dalvik cache. then just install the update from the zip.

don't have to reflash jb gapps.

and that's it.

Because it's built from STS Dev Team's 9/26 CM10 build

Under settings>about phone, I'm not showing "KOA Resurrection" under CyanogenMod version, like in the screenshots under the OP. Instead mine says 10-20120926-UNOFFICIAL-spyder. Is that OK? I also don't seem to have Apollo music player in data/app.

KOA is built off of STS Dev Team's CM10 nightlies so all that means is that Hicks didn't mess with that in build.prop (look one post above yours...)

My camera only shows a black screen...sometimes I get the gallery has stopped message but usually just a black screen and it just sits there. I wiped everything when I flashed, data cache davlik and format system.

any suggestions?

Try downloading a third party camera app and see if that works.

How long do you wait in the camera app? Usually whenever I reboot the camera will sometimes stay black for like 30 seconds before it kicks on then it works fine from there.

it just stays black until i push back or menu and then i get the gallery not responding message. ive waited up to about two minutes
i tried mx camera that didnt work..i was more just wondering if other people stock camera app were giving them problems as well and if there was something i was missing.

Not sure then :/ My camera is black for up to a minute but it always kicks on. Try killing gallery & stock camera in recent apps then opening camera and just let it sit for a minute or two?

We were just talking about this lol. Try killing Gallery & camera in recent apps then go in to camera and just let it sit for a minute or two, don't press anything.
