I was getting really spotty 4g and 3g service with a lot of data drops on stock 9/26, as well as having trouble getting wifi tethering to work. Is 9/28 any better?

Wifi tethering is working on mine, but it's only 3g since I am sitting in the back corner of the office where I get a garbage signal. I've not had chance to test with a strong 4g signal, but I have not noticed poor 4g on builds prior to this one.

This is 9/28 stock, .211 kernel.

Yeah, I think it's able to grab some metadata without being connected.

I think it can tell some things based on the access points it picks up and the broadcast addresses of those APs

MMS won't send, won't download, using stock app.

Camera is good, but no flash when taking pictures. Flash comes on when you focus, just not when you fire.

SMSPro works well enough as a substitute for now on MMS.

is anyone having issues with gmail and google voice sync? they don't sync on their own. i have to manually go in and sync everytime. i've cleared out the data, uninstalled, and re-installed with no luck

and idea for a fix?

can anyone answer why in all the jelly bean ROMs that it skips the startup screen and go straight to the home screen? I tried to dial *228, but it won't let me activate the phone. I have a feeling that since the phone doesn't activate with the network that this is causing the data and MMs issues. I maybe wrong, feel free to correct me if I am.

That's the one I was referring to. It was an anomaly back when people were testing aosp ICS builds from source several months ago. As far as I know, it's a locked bootloader issue, some sort of kernel incompatibility. It's not an issue with kexec, and I think it would drive me nuts because I have everything set to rotate.

the screen rotation resizing issue is due to lack of HDMI support, which is due to our lack of being able to flash a custom kernel with these custom roms. so unfortunately we are using Moto signed kernels to run our custom aosp roms, and in that case everything doesnt play nicely... which causes some minor issues (like screen shots not capturing full screen, screen rotation resizing etc).. like CM, they usually come with a custom kernel to power the rom, but with us having locked bootloaders we are running CM on a moto kernel, so we dont get the full experience as intended,... but It is what It is.. and we have some pretty nice stuff considering~

#228 does not work with LTE devices, the SIM card is what activates a Razr. The installation instructions with many of these ROMS require you to do a reboot after initial start-up. If you don't pull cell signal the first time, you should get it after the reboot. I have not run across any JB ROM since hashcode/dhacker fixed the data issues (after 9/24) that can't get data after a reboot.

Are you sure you're not just seeing the flash during focus and just before the shutter snaps? I have Camera Zoom FX installed and can only get it during focus.

Is there a change log available anywhere for these nightlies? It'd be nice to see what kind of changes are being made, instead of having to guess with testing.
