Is there any way to add other kernel modules to the kexec build? I assume that my zip of kernel modules for 4.0.4 would create problems. I wouldn't mind adding pegasusq and the sio scheduler back in.

Those zips flash fine, as they are for the stock kernel. Cm10's performance settings don't let me change the scheduler, though--just the governor. Set CPU works, though.

FYI. The alarm does not work on Kexec Cm-10 9/26 build. Clock works but no sound or notice pops up when alarm goes off.

Worked fine for me this morning. Did you try clearing data?

I had alarm problems happen on one of the CM 10 Kexec builds and running fix permissions seemed to help. I was getting a force close whenever the alarm was supposed to go off. Probably not the same thing but wanted to mention in case it helps

Do you have a custom ringtone set for alarm?

I did clear everything when installing kexec cm10. Was using default alarm sound. It happened on an earlier build but I don't remember which one. I did not get any FC's, just nothing would happen when the alarm time came up. Switched back to stock cm 10 and all is good.

I've done dirty flashes on every CM10 Stock build since the first one dropped. I haven't come across any problems as of yet. Even though it automatically wipes cache and Dalvik for you, I would recommend wiping them preinstall. Thoroughness never hurt anything :-)

Flashed 9/28. Did a "dirty" flash, did not know that would work...learning something new every day! Nice to have my stuff there once rebooted.

Had a lock of 30m on the GPS, couldn't get past 1700m on 9/26.

Don't always count on being able to do that. Make sure to backup anyway. Sometimes the scripts to flash a ROM will be set to wipe data. The devs of this ROM have said they may do that on particular builds if they feel it would need a full wipe

I haven't fiddled with the performance settings it has. However, I know you can set a neat little script to run on boot that switches them over for you, which is probably what I'll do for the scheduler.

Yikes, thanks Laura. If my internal sd got wiped I would be a sad panda. All my many many game saves would be lost.

Awww, flashed the kernel zip and none of them showed up after I booted. Probably due to this whole kernel swapping business. Well, what can ya do /shrug

No problem. Had it happen to me on my Nexus 7 and I was a sad panda indeed

As to my GPS...yet another thing to learn today. @ 30m lock, I had wifi on; 1700m, no wifi. Even with the wifi turned on but not connected to a network, I still had the 30m lock.

Read up on it, Maps improves greatly with wifi on, even with no network connected. I did not realize that it worked even without being connected to a network, but there it is.

Kinda odd.

Yeah, I think it's able to grab some metadata without being connected.
