Before installing this Latest Update

You MUST be on the latest Kit Kat official Stock OTA Setup

You MUST have a UNLOCKED Bootloader

If you don't know how then

Google is your Friend

 

From a great Source comes a Great ROM

I attempted this Build in order to get a

updated TWRP Recovery

Well it just expanded from there

Installation Instructions:
=================

NEED TO BE ON THE LATEST STOCK KIT KAT UPDATE
- Copy GApps and the OmniROM zip to your internal/external SDCard
- Make sure you're running a proper and working custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP.
- Boot into Recovery

- Make a Backup of what you are running if you want to

- Format Cache, Dalvic, System, and Data
- Flash OmniROM zip from internal/external SDCard

- Flash GApps zip from internal/external SDCard

- Reboot

- After initial setup boot back into recovery and Flash SuperSu for Root.

Well, you've become one of my favorite Devs.  I've used your Carbonite for at least 2 months now.  I must say, I'm pretty happy with it!!  Nobe, are you going to keep developing this and kind of let go of Carbonite?  If so I'm making the switch...

Thanks nobe, I love carbonite and am eager to try this out. One noob questio:
I have carbonite and a few older roms backed up with nandroid from Twrp 2.6.3.0, If I switch to 2.7 and decide to go back to carbonite, do you know if older nandroids are compatible?

Man this is a tough spot.  All backed up..  Need to get a charge and then I'm probably flashing..  Just rough because Carbonite has been absolutely flawless for me.  Not one single issue...I actually enjoy the phone with Carbonite running and have had little or no issues...  Anyone want to chime in any reasons to push me over the edge????  I feel like I need a good reason to leave Carbonite...  I am a recovering flashaholic...

Thanks that will put my wife at bay with her nose in her kindle lol...

As far as using 2.7 to restore earlier backups it is fine. I used 2.6.3 earlier before updating and restored both 86ed and Carbonite backups without issues.

Thanks for the update... Had issues getting other hardware stuff going. GPS must have slipped by.

Yeah I loved this ROM but Car Home Ultra kept fc'ing. Must have been the GPS not working shutting it down i guess
