I am 99% positive that I'm just screwed. I had root. On 4.4. The huge difference between us and Moto X is the inability to downgrade firmware. So when my phone screwed up and wouldn't boot I had to reload 4.4 via RSD Lite. Of course when I got back up and running i no longer had write protection off or root, and the root path provided by jcase no longer worked either. I'm sure I will be told ill just have to wait until someone roots 4.4 if ever...
