Can anyone offer their opinion on if it is better than stock versions?

I need a little help. I've been running aokp jb (10/9) on safe side and running well. I was reading some on the kexec version and wanted to try it out. I'm on safe strap 2.11, wiping everything as developers recommend and when I install along with 7/26 jb gapps it looks like it wants to boot up but hangs on the splash screen with what looks like some white lettering on each side of the screen that should meet in middle of screen but never does. I end up pulling battery and reverting back to aokp jb stock.
Can anyone offer their opinion on if it is better than stock versions?

I've been using the kexec builds since day 1. They have less issues (for me at least) than the stock builds and have actually been, surprisingly, more reliable than the stock builds. Obviously there's still no working camera and I think there may be an issue with bluetooth but all-in-all they seem to work really well.

I can't get any of these JB ROMs to boot on my Bionic. I'm running .247 on the unsafe side with SS 2.11. I've tried various builds of CM10 and AOKP, but all of them just sit at the boot animation indefinitely. I've waited quite awhile for all of them with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Really sounds like SS 2.0. I had same issue until I updated to SS 2.11. Do you notice the CM splash screen logo being off center when it sits there and doesn't load up? That is how it looked for me until I changed to 2.11. Are you wiping data, cache, dalvik and formatting system?

Yes thanks everyone for the update. I saw Hash's tweet shortly after I posted. I am running the older cm Kexec now. I'm not really finding much about the Kexec builds. I mean I understand what they are and why but are they really working based on philosophy behind them? I don't really see a difference vs the non Kexec roms. Possibly when we get SS3 and can install the newest versions it will stand out more.

I was having trouble since the September releases with the stock builds so I moved over to KEXEC. It really works flawlessly. A random reboot/freeze here and there is all. I have no complaints. We'll have to wait til SS3 comes out for the updates to seriously compare the two builds. As they are now still in heavy development.

After trying for hours, I just finally got it to boot up. I was trying to avoid wiping data but I see now that it's not optional

I updated to the 10/13 CM10 build, any idea why I'm getting an OTA notification to go to 10/08?
It's i bug. i believe Dhacker is fixing it for the next build. also making it auto reboot and install updates.

Updated to 10/13 through the ota updater, which I have to say was pretty nice. Anyone else notice cm 10 is now android 4.1.2?
yea, the new aokp is also, according to hashcode

It's been a few days, not sure if you got this figured out but there is actually. Go System Settings, Lock Screen (under Interface), and the bottom option is Slider Shortcuts. Even after you choose a different shortcut, there is even an option to change the icon.So there's no lock screen shortcuts customization? I'm on the 10-5 build of aokp
