Hi. Everyone. IV been using Google voice on my razr for voicemail. Its like Verizon visual voicemail. Today there appeared in the notification bar a voicemail symbol and in the dropdown is a message with a direct dial to the Google voicemail Box. This notification will not clear. Ans has no option to clear. Any suggestions how to get rid of it?

Had that happen when I first set up Google Voice. To fix it, you have to disable Google Voice, check the voicemail, then re-enable Voice. When you setup Voice, remember to forward all 3 Voicemail paths, not just missed call. I'll post a link to the numbers you need in a sec.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Find your activation code in the list below.
2. Enter the first code exactly as written, as if you're dialing someone. Replace [GVnumber] with your GV phone number. For example, if your GV phone number is 203-555-1212, and your service is CellCom, then you would enter *682035551212.
3. Press "Send" or "Talk" or "Enter" on your phone to dial that number.
4. If multiple codes are given, repeat steps 2 & 3 for each code. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
5. After following the steps above, try calling your mobile phone from another phone and leave a voicemail. The message should appear in your GV inbox!

Activation Code
Verizon (CDMA network): *71[GVnumber] AND *90[GVnumber] AND *92[GVnumber]
Verizon (TDMA Network): *74[GVnumber] and *73[GVnumber]

DIRECTIONS:

1. Find your deactivation code in the table below.
2. Enter the first code exactly as written, as if you're dialing someone.
3. Press "Send" on your phone to dial that number.
4. If multiple codes are given, repeat steps 2 & 3 for each code

Deactivation Code
Verizon (CDMA network): *73 AND *900 AND *920
Verizon (TDMA Network): *740 AND *730

You just need to make sure to follow the instructions on the Google Voice help page.
You need to dial *71<your google voice #> and *73<google voice #>
This WILL USE your plan minutes. The message time PLUS the time that your greeting message is played to them.

unless you just play the message through the GV app.

Ok, I have a google voice problem that has been bugging me for awhile now. Here is what happens:

Place call using google voice and get
Google voice could not connect
Retry with google voice
Call without google voice

Happens on 2 xt912's (mine and gf's). I've searched and tried everything I could find. GF is still on ICS and I'm on JB (OTA w/o root). The weird thing is it worked, was patched , broke , got patched again, worked , patched and is now broken. I've went as far as wiping to factory and re-installing only to end up at the same dead end. Any suggestions / links appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have a data connection? If you don't have a data connection or if you have a weak signal it will cause it to fail.
