I wanted to share this with the brave few of you... this recovery has a few major flaws. I am not responsible for anything you do to your device. Your phone has a locked bootloader unfortunately and true recovery permanently is not possible without unlocking it... however we CAN tether boot the CWM.

Flaws:
  • Backups do NOT work correctly. CWM stock backs up boot.img, a partition we cannot actually get into because of the strange system of Huawei on this device and others in the past. If someone figures out to mod CWM to NOT backup boot.img, this flaw should be fixed.
  • Random reboots. A HUGE flaw. This can lead to bricked devices at the moment since backups do not work. Highly unrecommended that you flash files bigger than 50MB to be "safe" but I am not sure even then. I have a few times flashed 180MB file, but 8 times out of 10 tries it did not fully flash before the random reboot. When the phone reboots in CWM, it goes back to normal boot. Not sure exactly what causes this to fix it, but it is very annoying.
  • You MUST be at a computer to launch this CWM. Since it does not actually flash onto the device, it instead boots the CWM from the fastboot menu. (Thus the Tethered title) This can be fixed with an unlocked bootloader.
So if you are interested in trying it out.... you have been warned. If you simply want to run the tethered CWM to see how it looks and nothing more, it should not negatively affect your device. This uses my same method for rooting for booting this CWM recovery.

Pre-reqs:
Enable USB Debugging in Settings > Applications > Development
Do NOT mount USB storage.
Have the drivers installed.
You do NOT have to be rooted to use this... in fact you can use this method to root (although my other method is much more recommended...)

Instructions:
Plug the phone in with a USB cable and have the pre-reqs ment.
Run the script "BootToCWM.bat" for windows, or the Root.sh from linux/mac (forgot to rename ;) ) from the Clockworkmod Pheonix folder.

i have tried your recovery.img and can't backup the phone because the device reboot itself quickly.

i have build an recovery.img, tested it and i have backed up the phone successfully. but still have reboot and other things not good

if you want to try it you can download it https://www.box.com/...yfgy3vmbmqk584d

also,i have made an unsecure boot.img https://www.box.com/...bqv3dhf06kxite5

according to Sebastian Robinson @Sebastian404 : "the random reboots could be because of an idle timer, if you don't update, the device reboots since it thinks your not using it" "try adding the charge bin from /sbin and then having 'service charge /sbin/charge' in your init.rc"

cwm isn't very good for now so what's about making a 3e recovery mod to disable signature checking?

Working Links.

The links to the CWM files don't seem to be working.   Try the below link and then select the CWM file (Windows, Linux, Mac) that you want.
