I got the screen replaced, I didn't have to get a new phone and lose root, I is one happy little camper! The repair isn't all that difficult, compared to some other phones. There is a video how to on YouTube. What they forget to mention, is that you must carefully cut out/extract the power button from the old frame, and you need to transplant the earphone peace as well. That is stuck with adhesive to the old frame. You should also definitely get that super teeny tiny torx driver for the one screw inside! Motorola didn't spare the thread lock on those screws either.

If possible could you add the link where you bought the screen and the YouTube video. Down the road I'm sure that would be helpful for the folks that haven't quite learned how to Google things.

I think it was gadget-guys, masters, something. They did both video and parts.
