what's poor battery for you?

i'm getting very good battery life on the soft-key versions i've tried.40+ hrs per charge where i got ~30 hrs on the old (non-HD) Arctic.

oops, I meant non-soft key version in my post. Thats what I'm on and I get pretty poor battery life, even with Google Now turned off. I'f I understand correctly there were several improvements that were put in place in the latest version of the soft-key version that helped battery life. the nonsoft version just hasn't been updated yet with those improvements.

Bad battery for me is loosing about %5 battery per hour sitting here on my desk and not doing anything.

Dang these devs and the "lives" they have. Why can't they spend every waking hour catering to my rom needs.

If i remember correctly, it was post by kebo,like 2 weeks ago, you ll have to ask if someone has the link or can provide u with the file for u to download.

Are you on a OG RAZR or a MAXX? 5% per hour with no activity is ridiulous for a MAXX. They'll hold a charge quite well.

Look at post #113 in this thread for the downloads of both roms. I have been on the non soft from day 1 and love it. I had very poor battery on artic hd also but did not try it with google now disabled. I can easily run 2 days on the nonsoft hd.

Anyone got correctly signed gapps? Just tried to update on 1.1 with no soft keys, I got a signing error. What was changed in the apps?

I don't think you need gapps with this. At least on the soft key version you don't

Im currently running DROID HD 1.1 with soft keys. I really love it. Will probably switch to nonsoft in the future bc it does take away from the screen real estate. But it runs smooth and fast.

Cant wait to see what the developers do and add to it next

I absolutely love this ROM but here is the thing I started with 1.0 then updated to 1.1 right after installing, but didnt care for the soft keys. At this point I was staying at 100% for awhile and was so happy with battery life. Last night I installed 1.0.2 to get the hard keys back and now im at 91% after an hour and a half. I downloaded the 1.02 over wifi so maybe thats why. Also my smart actions does not connect to my settings I have it set up to find my location which is home and to turn on wifi and lower brightness but it never kicks in. Should I just start over and wipe and format everything and download over the computer to ensure it was a good download?


Edit: For some reason my Smartactions wasnt working because the location was slightly off. For right now just using the one that they give as home for me :/

I think that 1.1 has improvements for better battery, so going to non-soft meant going back to the version I'm on which has pretty poor battery, at least on my OG Razr. Its not a big concern for me as I pretty much always have my Razr plugged in. (chargers on my desk, car, next to recliner, next to bed)

Patiently awaiting the update but also realize that even ROM developers have lives.

Just wanted to pop in and say this rom is great!! I haven't had any data issues, nor any other major issues. I've had the best battery life with this rom out of all of them that I've tried so far. Can't wait for the next update - I'm currently on 1.02 NonSoft. Thanks Kebob & Matt

I am runnong the nosoft 1.02. After receiving a lapdock today, I discovered that webtop crashes. It is strange as a few items can be accessed but it keeps popping up a box that states webtop has stopped working. I did get to try it on my wifes stock razr max and it is pretty cool.

I had the same issue. The fix that worked for me is to download the simplex rom and using a root explorer go into the simplex rom zip under system/app copy welcomewebtop.apk and copy it to system/app edit the permissions to r-w-r-r then install it. Then reboot into safestrap and wipe cache and delvik cache and reboot. Worked for me.

My favorite contacts widget has spinning circle on it like its loading . Constantly does it. Didn't start til today. The only thing i did different was charge my phone while it was off last night. Any ideas?

Why do i keep getting this after flashing this ROM?

Would the fact that I have a limited edition Razr Maxx?

Someone else earlier in the thread had that same problem. I can't remember what they did but it was probably a complete wipe and and reflash.

Limited edition has the same hardware as regular with just a different look. Are you a Verizon employee? And rooted? Good job joining the "right" side of the force
