Cool, didn't know that about Apex. Used it for a while months ago, but haven't messed with it in some time. Does Apex include it's own gmail icon/widget or does it somehow just display the unread count over the top of the stock shortcut icon?

Short answer is no man. This has been addressed several times. Only works with Moto launcher. There is something similar in the store called one more clock widget if you want to check that out

I haven't checked it out but, I'm quite sure it's not nearly as well executed as the Moto Circles widget, is it? That's the best part of it to me. The interaction with the widget is well done. Better than Sense, in that respect, imo.

Edit: ...with exception to Sense's full screen weather animations, of course. They seemingly CAN NOT be beat. I haven't even seen any manufacturer or developer successfully duplicate them yet.

Im on arctic hd right now....whats the difference between these two? And whats the install process coming from arctic hd rom?

I haven't yet tried Arctic HD but, I've read that there is little difference, aside from theming. I would imagine you could probably flash over it and be fine. I can't remember if the install script wipes the caches though. In case not, maybe wipe cache and Dalvik, prior to flash.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Arctic is just a more "themed" version of this ROM (well actually the non-soft version of this ROM). This ROM incorporates "softkeys" and disables the hard-keys on our phones.

I came directly over from ArcticHD to the non-soft key version of this ROM (version 1.02) just by flashing over it and wipeing dalvik. I have zero issues. (well, except extremely poor battery life which should be fixed in the next update of the non-softkey version)

only account sign-in problem I had was with google maps. After you accept the little triangle notification and open the app several times it will finally work. You may need to go into settings and "Sign in" or something like that to get the notification if you have not.

My 4g seems unaffected by this ROM. As in, same as it has always been, fair ta' middlin.

what's poor battery for you?

i'm getting very good battery life on the soft-key versions i've tried.40+ hrs per charge where i got ~30 hrs on the old (non-HD) Arctic.

are you still having sign-in problems?

there was a Google Now server issue causing that sign-in error. all my devices had it. it's been fixed.
