So in the Arctic HD rom thread people including myself are reporting a Google account login error. I am running Droid HD and was wondering if anyone else is having this happen? My data seems to be running fine and I have had no issues with any Google apps while this error appears.

I have the exact same issue. I see a little orange triangle on top and a message that there is an error logging into my google account. My google apps are all syncing fine so whatever it is, there does not appear to be any problem logging in, so I don't know why the error is there.

Great ROM otherwise...I swiped the error message out of the way and it disappeared and, so far, has not come back.

I've been running running g this rom since release and never saw this before still not turning me off from it though lol. How awesome is that, even with the account t error this rom still kicks butt. Lol

I've also been seeing this. Seems to have started within the last hour or so for me. Sounds to me like the issue is one with Google's servers; I doubt it has anything to do with if you're running Arctic HD / Droid HD, as I have not seen this on this ROM (or any other), and not prior to tonight.

It's not just our rom, or people on Verizon for that matter. It's looking like a wide spread outage. But it's not effecting the use of the phone, so that's good

Just had someone reply to my thread at Android Central. Confirmed that the same error in the Philippines, that confirms that it's a worldwide outage

Yea after reading around it has nothing to do with a specific rom so please people don't think its caused by this or the other roms around the site

Google now appears to be the only thing not working for me. I think anyone with jelly bean or Google now is experiencing the issue.

Sorry about the older reference, but being on this rom is like that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer and Jerry are test driving a car with the salesman and decide to drive it until it runs out of gas for the sheer sake of exhilaration. I unplug my phone every day at 7am and by night-time I find myself being disappointed that I wasn't able to stay up long enough to watch the battery run out. There is absolutely NO QUESTION that this rom manages power better than stock. There are a few hiccups, but even so... still far and away better. (BTW: Droid HD nonsoft)

The google server outage (effecting google now) is far broader. My tablet is experiencing it as well. I was relieved when I waltzed in here to hear the same actually

Is It on jelly bean or have Google now? So far I have only heard reports of it happening on jelly bean or jelly bean based roms or ics roms with g now

Well, almost all my issues, I should say. I have come to understand that Apollo does not have a landscape mode, so it won't rotate when it's in a dock, which is a shame, since I'd be more willing to try to continue to use it, since most of my music usage is on my commute to and from work.

N7player in the market has landscape mode.

try going to manage app ...located gmail clear data and cache- go to system /app and delete it from there or rename Gmail.apk to Gmail.bak- reboot to ss and wipe cache- reboot the phone go to market and download the newer versionwhile trying this if you going to update Gmail if you happen to also want update the street view- do the same thing to kill two bird with one stone
