Hi all, been a while. Tried this rom out. Flashed it on my way to school. I got no data link and when on wifi. Google account would not get past, this will take a few minutes. I gave it 15 and had to stop it as I needed my phone. Not a fan of the new on screen buttons.

I have Moto Razr....I will cut you.
To powerful to fall into my hands. Click......Rooted. ICS rommed!!!!! Muhahahahah!!!!

I'm not immediately sure what the problem is but, I do know it isn't the rom. This rom has no data issues. Did you try a reboot to see if that brings it to life?

Its obviously been so long you forgot how to read as it clearly states in the install and in the OP that you must reboot for those issues to be fixed. No big deal though as we all make mistakes :) I will have a non softkey out soon enough to satisfy your other needs

I don't blame Kebob. Majority is ppl not reading the OP and start clogging the thread with all these issues again and again. Maybe I'm just lucky in flashing cause I have not experience most of the issue ppl are repeatedly reporting.
Here Kebob and Matt took their time out of their busy schedule and put aside their life to put this together this wonderful Rom for ppl to enjoy and appreciate .... and some ppl have a different way of appreciation
... I for one am really great-full for Matt and Kebob AND all the wonderful Devs out there showing support to the DROID community making Droid Phone an addiction

so once again Thank You Kebob and Matt.

Well, I'm no developer but I do appreciate the work you all do. And I'm more than paranoid enough to read the dang thread instructions 10 times so I don't brick anything!

Thanks for the ROM, and thanks equally for clear concise directions to safely install.

It may have been a long time. But no reason to get disrespectful. I did wiped 2 times before I installed. I used matts one wipe to rule them all and did it manually. Phone sat a bit as I was in class and to let the rom settle. Not all phone work the same or take them roms well. I am not a rookie.

I think what he was saying is that after you flash the rom and it boots up, you have to reboot the phone again to fix the data issue.

Yup. Just installed here and followed the OP. Rebooted right after first boot then set up phone. No data issues here

Also like to say thanks for this great rom. I am getting used to and coming to like the soft keys even though I thought I would hate them. Also my first venture into Google now and having fun playing with it.

Edit... I am gonna update the rom when I get home and get on wifi. Any special instructions? I see I have to install in safe strap but do I need to wipe anything??

Anybody know what it would take to get any of the following working again in this ROM?:

1) Motorola Dock modes (both for Car Dock and HD Dock).
2) Visual Voicemail (I'm aware of alternatives; I like Visual Voicemail and would prefer to keep using it).
3) Motorola Music Player - I'm willing to give Apollo a shot, as it looks nice, but doesn't seem to have a landscape mode when in a car dock. If someone could make that work, I'd be willing to keep evaluating Apollo.

Devs, don't get me wrong, I think this ROM is by far what Motorola / Verizon should have shipped for ICS in the first place. The items I mentioned above would simply be icing on the cake for me. :D

Just thought I'd follow up on my previous post by adding that my issues with all of the apps that I mentioned above are now working for me on Droid HD 1.0.2 NonSoft by having extracted the following APKs from the deodexed 6.16.215 base and putting them in the /system/app folder:

MotMusic.apk (My Music)
SmartCarDock.apk (Car Dock Application)
SmartDock (Multimedia/HD Dock Application)
Vvm.apk (Visual Voicemail)

Also, NFL Mobile and My Verizon can be made to work by replacing VerizonSSOEngine.apk in /system/app. I know somebody posted a link to one via DropBox, but I just extracted mine from the deodexed 6.16.215 base, and it allows those apps to work just fine.

Well, almost all my issues, I should say. I have come to understand that Apollo does not have a landscape mode, so it won't rotate when it's in a dock, which is a shame, since I'd be more willing to try to continue to use it, since most of my music usage is on my commute to and from work. However, one thing I have noticed that I have not been able to figure out is how to keep Apollo from launching and starting to play whatever track it was on when I connect my LG Tone Bluetooth Headset to it. Seems to be an automatic action. I have not played around with trying to get Smart Actions working, but I do have Llama installed; however, Llama's rulesets as configured don't seem to be responsible for this. I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion beyond just freezing or removing the app as to why it might be doing this.

Thanks again Matt and Kebob for an awesome ROM. I'm patiently waiting for the next non-soft version of the ROM. I don't think I've seen anyone say why they do or don't like soft keys or not, so I thought I'd chime in with my two cents worth. My biggest gripe against soft keys is the screen real estate lost when there are keys at the bottom that do this already. If the RAZR MAXX had soft keys to begin with, I'd have no gripe about using soft keys in the first place ... :)

One last thing, and I'll stop posting for a while. I manually updated the Google Play Store app (Phonesky.apk) in /system/app from 3.5.15 to 3.8.17 last night without any apparent issues, but it would not update to it on it's own, nor would it let me install the APK as an installable app, complaining that an existing app with a conflicting signature was found. I wonder if anyone had encountered this besides me.

Thanks again for a great ROM, Matt and Kebob.

Check out PowerAmp. It has landscape and looks great in my car dock. I bought it years ago and never glanced twice at another music player

First off this rom is excellent! I have been on it for 2 days now with absolutely no issues, battery life is amazing! To those that are having issues you need to follow the OP exactly and everything will work just fine. The devs put a lot of hard work into these roms and they do it because they enjoy it. Please show some respect and appreciate the fact the these guys (mattlgroff and kebob) are bringing us these great roms that Motorola can't and wont. I have flashed multiple roms over the past few months from many different devs and had no alarming issues. Sometimes you just need to take the initiative to make things work the way you want them to. Learning to develop and edit which by the way there are lots of resources to do so on this site and XDA and google search you may just find that you can and will get what you want. Just my piece of mind. Thanks again to mattlgroff and kebob for a great rom and keep up the good work, I as many others do appreciate you hard work in bringing us these great roms!
