is that an option in settings? i've never gotten an unread count and can't find where to toggle it.

the Gmail icon has never shown the number of unread messages (this ain't iOS). There are widgets you can download to accomplish this, but not the stock shortcut icon.

Apex Launcher does this with Gmail 4.0.5 or higher. Just got it working :-)

Cool, didn't know that about Apex. Used it for a while months ago, but haven't messed with it in some time. Does Apex include it's own gmail icon/widget or does it somehow just display the unread count over the top of the stock shortcut icon?

Weird. Am I the only person to get SA working on this build?

No, the SA version on the Play store is different than the stock version that came on the phone. The stock version has more options, etc than the downloadable version.

Where did I say I was running the store version? I'm running stock Smart Actions, restored through TiBu like I mentioned a few pages. Even got all my presets back.

Where did I say anything about what version you're running? I simply answered your question regarding SA actions working on this build. If you had read the previous few pages, you would have seen why the question about the SA zip was asked.

Ok, spin it how you want, you didn't answer my question. My question was I the only one running SA on this build, and you automatically assumed by your answer I was running the market version since you seem to believe only the market version can be run.

I'm running stock SA. I ask again, am I the only one?

Re-examine your question and you'll see that you didn't ask if you were the only one running stock SA. Look at my answer and you'll see that I said.....NO.... I was merely trying to explain why the question had come up; it had nothing to do with whatever version of SA you were running. And where exactly did I say that only the market version can be run?

It just displays over the stock icon, it does this for missed calls and SMS. It's pretty cool and worth the few bucks for the paid version.

Instead of having a pi$$ing match about who said what, how bout throwing that apk up on dropbox so we can all try it?
Not many of us back up system apps with tibu and would not likely have it....
Cheers!

After uninstalling Gmail with TB and going to the Play Store to install the newest version, I get an "Incompatible update" error. Is there any way around this?
