You need to use a root file manager/explorer then it can be mounted as r/w (read/write) before you can edit, delete, or rename the file......

I use root explorer... you can get it here...

I recommend either renaming to 99test.bak or copy it somewhere first instead of deleting it..... just in case...

By far this is one of my favorites out there! Nice and smooth and good on the battery. One question though, are there plans on making more themes for this rom (a blood red one perhaps)?

Calendar.apk is built into this rom so I am sure that it is what is giving you problems. If you want to download and install the Google calendar from the play store instead, you may want to use TB or Rom Toolbox to uninstall the built in calendar app first. It is in the system/app folder by the way.

That would work in theory, but it doesn't. I'm having the same problem. I've uninstalled all calendar-related apk's, wiped cache, rebooted tried installing the new google calendar.apk, and it's still the same error. Have no idea why. >:(

I know how you feel...some core features could go for "official" updates through an OTA, since they have the ability for OTA's. They should utilize that.

So I just flashed the rom and I keep getting the message "com.android.phone has stopped" every five seconds. Any fix for this?

Did you wipe (all the usual places) prior to flashing?

I got that the first time around... but after doing a complete wipe of everything... reinstalling... and two good reboots, everything is status quo.

I just hope the developers haven't kicked this great rom to the curb. Like I stated before, would be great to get a blood red or orange theme. ;)

Did you have data issues the first go around? Data never comes up for me and the radio keeps cycling on and off.

Safestrap 3 makes it a little ambiguous as to what to wipe, but I did wipe system and factory reset before flashing the rom.

Nope.
No data issues whatsoever.

A reboot per the op instructions will fix the data issues.

masterfisto, just follow the dev's instructions in the OP, a lot of the time you need to wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik & format System

It actually doesn't matter which version of recovery app you use…

SS3 does take getting used to, but its very worth the effort.

There is a Wipe button which gives you all 4 options… check it out.
You should probably use SS3 to back up the Data & reinstall the rom w/all required wipes; just go to 1st page for instructions in the OP of all roms… Good luck!

hi guys - when refusing incoming call, I hit TEXT, select the message and it should be sent.

I do not see it being sent in GOSMS, nor is the person I sent it to, getting it. Of course, I'm in this ROM etc.

Any thoughts?

I absolutely love this ICS ROM. However, I'm playing around with a Jelly Bean ROM and was wondering if you can flash the CircleWidget3D. APK in the Jelly Bean ROM or will that brick my phone?

That was a good idea, but it didn't work - at least not for me. I used TB to uninstall both Calendar and Calendar Storage, still got the same error when installing Google Calendar.

Has anyone found a workaround to this? Seems like it's not working for several people, including myself. Would love to be able to install Google Calendar. Thanks!
