did you reboot again directly after flashing (as stated in OP)...... that should cure the FC... .. you can make a full backup of system data in safestrap (boot intosafestrap....... go to backup and restore..... backup.... then it can be restored at anytime, just boot into safestrap and goto backup and restore..... from there.....Debating?
I'd installed the ROM last nite works beautifully for the most part but I have notice a small percentage of my apps have crashed on me that haven't b4 the install so I'm wondering if I should reinstalled? Its possible I didn't wait long enough for the OS to settle.
Also wondering, I'm using Titanium Backup can I backup system data and restore after reinstall Arctic HD?

is the zip file on external or internal sdcard? ..... there has been issues when trying to flash from internal sdcard......I'm having trouble getting it to do the first boot - it keeps locking up on the splash screen. (yes, I'm waiting long enough. During one reboot I went out and changed the tube in a bicycle tire and took it for a short test ride).
OG Razr, rooted (of course)
Using SafeStrap 3.04
Stock ROM is 6.16.214.XT912
I've downloaded the ROM twice, and verified that the MD5 matches.
'Wipes' looks a little different on SS3 than it did on SS2, but I'm wiping 'Cache', 'Dalvik Cache', 'System' and 'Factory Reset' - and various combinations thereof.
I'm NOT wiping 'External Storage' or 'Internal Storage'.
Any thoughts on what I've not tried yet?
Thanks

Just for fun, try unrooting it & try rooting again, also, see what happens w/SS2… run!ing out of ideas hereSpyderMan When I installed SS3 I had JUST rooted (re-rooted, actually) my phone. So there was no SS2 or previous recovery to uninstall.
I used Matt's 1.82 utility to root the plhone, disconnected from the PC, then loaded the SS3 apk and followed the SS3 instructions to install the recovery.
I unplug the phone before flashing the ROM, so it's unplugged during reboot also.
Hillbilly, I'm flashing from the external SD card.
BTW, I didn't specifically mention it, but when flashing there are no error messages. It looks to be flashing correctly.
Edit: Just for fun I tried installing the Droid HD ROM, it goes in to a boot loop on first boot. I find it hard to believe that I've got three bad downloads, I'm thinking it must have something to do with the SS3 install. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall it to see if that makes a difference.

i just noticed that you stated that you were on. 214 its possible that you may need to use matts utility and go back to stock .211 for it to work properly.... i had issues flashing the ROM on. 215......SpyderMan When I installed SS3 I had JUST rooted (re-rooted, actually) my phone. Glad its working now....Well, I'm not sure why, but uninstalling and reinstalling SS3 did the trick. It SEEMED like the creation of the ROM Slot in SS3 took longer this time than it did first time, but since I didn't actually put a stopwatch on either one I couldn't say for sure. In any case the ROM has booted and I'm going through the initial setup now.
Thanks for your help!

That's odd. You are on the Arctic HD rom, correct? This method will only work for Arctic HD (and maybe Droid hd).
Are you sure the 99test script is gone from init.d? What's files are left in /etc/init.d? Sounds like something else is re-setting the cpu clock profile. Are you running any other scripts with rom toolbox or script manager?
You can try putting this file back in init.d. Save the file without a file extension (save as 99test, NOT 99test.txt) Set permissions and reboot:
