When the First boot hangs, power down( power button & vol- for 10 secs.) & let it reboot on it's own.
Well I read that, but this appears to be locking up during boot. The horrid music that plays hangs too. I need to just wait and see if it un-hangs?

did u enable safe systemI really want to install this ROM, but for the life of me I can't make it boot. Here's the process I'm using...
Download ROM.
Verify MD5.
Make sure ROM file is on external SD.
Boot into Safestrap.
Wipe Data Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvic.
Format /system.
Install ROM.
Restart.
The ROM's boot music plays for several seconds and then the process hangs.
I've repeated the above steps 3 times now with no success.
I'm running leaked .211 on the other side of SafeStrap.
ROMs like BW ICS install and run just fine.
What am I missing???

i had the same problem so i just let it keep rebooting on its own and eventually it booted up.did u enable safe system

Same thing happened to me on first few boot ups. After hard rebooting it a few times it would finally work. (Or just letting it sit for about 20 mins). But I just ended up changing the boot animation to something simpler and every boot has been perfect since then.

Nothing visually has changed to my knowledge.can someone post some pics of the Artic Rom as stand today, i m thinking on flashing it , but since the few updates they have change the look and feel of the rom and the pics in the op are not updated. Thanks in advance

Has anyone figured out how to hide apps in the app drawer on the stock home screen launcher? I can't seem to figure it out because I would like to make my Lookout app hidden if possible. Thanks!

Not possible. That is a 3rd party launcher option only. Maybe one day Moto will figure it out and add it as a a option.

I tried Clocksync and it had a 15sec difference fixed it but when you reboot and check again the 15 second difference is still there. So I doubt Clocksync is actually working !!!
Also can Beats Audio be installed with this ROM anyone try it !!!

Keep losing WiFi and sound settings keep reverting to stock. Like the rom but getting a little frustrated :-(

Day 5 so far compass is the only function not working. App opens just fine but absolutely no function. Not a big deal just wondering if it is the ROM or hardware?

This thing is looking good so far! I've flashed a lot of stuff and never stuck with any of it but I'm digging this.
I didn't try gps without it but if you run fasterfix it locks fast, need to go for a bike ride and check accuracy.

I tried overclocking to 1350 but I was getting a lot of random reboots so I turned it down a bit to 1325. It is now stable and feeling great.

Don't apologize for having a life. Some people need to look up patience, then practice it.
I've never seen you release an update for the public without announcing it. When it's out they will let everyone know.....
Between this an the droid hd thread the non-stop update questions are out of hand. Chill out people, these Roms run dang good as is. Waiting a bit for a few extra features an fixes isn't going to kill anyone.....

Well, I don't enable safe system. It is already enabled. As far as I can tell, I want to install this ROM with Safe System Currently Enabled. I really think I'm following all the steps in the OP. The install appears to go smoothly. But despite my best efforts I can't boot into the ROM. Not even once. The boot process hangs, then a reboot, then a hang, then a reboot, etc. etc.
