Agreed. Do we really need the music?

Everything else works great!

So delete the Ogg file in system /media

Slightly OT to the ROM itself, but is the Google Now included in the ROM the "old" version? I know there was an update a few days (weeks?) ago.
I set up the Braves as a favorite team using the hack from XDA back several weeks ago, but couldn't set any other teams (did this on my Stock side BTW).
I installed ArcticHD and sure enough Atlanta is still there, but I still cannot "select" any other teams. I know you can get teams to show up by searching for them a few times, but according to what I found on the internetz, you should be able to select them from the app itself now. Just wondering is all.

I froze Google Now with Ultimate Backup and my Battery is back to making it 18 hours again, hard to believe an app can change the battery by that much !!!

I love this thing! Two questions:

1) I can't disable the default text app so that handcent can take over. Am I missing something or can this be implimented?

2) I really dig the circle widget! Is there any way at all for me to hide the notification bar? I can't use another launcher and get the widget to work, and I also don't like redundancy.

Thanks!

If you're trying to get Handcent to work with the widget it won't work. I've tried everything I can think of and it won't. Did you restore Handcent using titanium or anything like that?

Here's how I flashed and it prompted me:
Initially on .01
Downloaded .10
Boot into Safestrap
Follow wiping procedure in OP
Flash ROM
Reboot
Once it's done loading reboot
Setup Google account
Install Handcent
Open Handcent and it should prompt to make default

If that doesn't work maybe someone else knows another way l.

The reason it won't work is the same reason it only has default text messaging on the lock screen--because the default text messaging app isn't disabled (which can be done on stock ICS by taking the icon to the top of the screen from the app drawer and clicking App info). In Arctic HD "Disable" is greyed out.

It's not a deal breaker right now, but if it bothers my OCD enough then later I might just go back to stock.

But then he cannot use the circle widget that he said he likes...

Edit: the answer to your question is no you cannot hide the status bar on the default launcher. Only 3rd party launchers have that option

Is it just me or does the homescreen not rotate to landscape? works fine w/ apps (browser, youtube, etc.) but not w/ homescreen.

WTF. This is mine after uninstalling/reinstalling handcent from market, clearing data/cache and even formatting with a fresh Arctic HD!

Eh. I just renamed the stock text messaging app to .bak.

Now on the lock screen I get handcent instead of stock for the icon--but circle still didn't recognize it. Oh well.
