why is adding widgets broken? It makes me do it twice, once in the app drawer, and then a pop up list makes me select the same widget again before it shows up on my screen? what gives?

Its not broken, if I remember right it was their work around to get Widgets to place properly on the home launcher.

Yah, I don't get the little triangle, just "Login Failed". Anyway to assign it permission to log in?

EDIT: When I go into maps and hit the menu button>Settings>Sign In, I get the little triangle. I did THAT several times, closed out and went back in and now it says "You have loged in to your account (null)" and moves on... heh I guess thats it?

i did the same thing, it logged me in, but the GPS still not working!
it keeps saying Follow the route, Searching for GPS...
does ur GPS work fine?

Did you reboot before pressing start to begin configuring your phone had to do the reboot on my phone to get it to load, otherwise I locked up... guess that is what is meant in the op by rebooting after load... I thought it meant after config... have had some rom's recommend that... but once I did it before pressing start I was fine...

Slightly annoying. It would be better to just ditch the app drawer widget and just let us use the pop up screen by long pressing on the screen like before ics..

reboot before pressing start? not sure what you mean. i switch to safe system, wipe all the things mentioned and then install the zip, then reboot. are you saying i need to switch to safe, then reboot, and then do everything else?

The OP refers to t_e importance of doing this. After flashing the rom it needs to be rebooted before moving fwd.

The rom never fully boots, i tried both methods. It locks up during the boot animation with the sound repeating like a skipping record during the droid sequence, i have tried installing 3 times, following all instructions.

Maybe the DL is corrupt?

I f**king hate this safestrap bull$#!+. I miss the old fashioned Clockwork. Straighforward and easy, and if you screw up you SBF. I understand the inherent benefits of having your system automatically backed up into the safe system, but it takes up too much space, and takes too long.

how would i convert this so i can just flash it the old fashioned way with clockwork mod? starting to wonder if im just running out of space or something, i dont have enough space to have two systems running and two systems backed up.

Is Motocast enabled on this? Or can someone refer me to a non-crappy alternative if it is not? Thanks.

Anyone remember how to get rid of the 6250 text messages? People say go to Verizon.com, but that doesn't work!

On Verizon.com go to change features and disable the Email cloud sync option. This has happened on every ROM I flashed until I disabled that option. Hope that helps.

Chaz, why don't you try to uninstall the SS app / apk & get a fresh copy of SS2.11 & then install the new one as usual - but be sure to start by removing what the new SS install should recognize as the old recovery, then install the new recovery (& b4 enabling & switching to safe side; be sure you have the rom's install zip on your ext sd card handy) & then take a shot at re-flashing…

Good luck!

@Kebob- that is the way things go with fresh new shiny things..they always need tweaked a little. There is a lot of testing to be done with android. Not everyone uses the same options and people find new ways of getting to apps and widgets. I flash a new ROM and it takes some trial and error just to get it set up the way I like. The ROM looks good and runs good for the most part. Though I agree that Google Now chews through the battery. I hope something can be tweaked for this as I have a regular RAZR. Thanks for all the hard work on the ROM!

Nah I tried waiting through the skipping bootscreen and after a bit the phone just restarted and did the same thing over again. Not really sure whats causing this issue but I have given up for now. Im now officially not a fan of safestrap. I have never had so many problems installing a rom before. CWM was always just make a backup, flash new rom, if it doesn't work then restore your backup. generally clearing the cache or doing a data wipe would always fix a rom not loading correctly. Nothing is fixing this. I even tried removing the safestrap completely and uninstalling. No dice. Install the rom, skipping droid screen upon reboot
