Hey guys, much appreciate the update!!!! Can anyone tell me if the bluetooth issue was resolved? Thanks!

From what I understand, it's a Kernel problem.
I am curious to know why it works in the Stock build, but not in any of the roms though.
This bug is one of my biggest issues with any of the ROMs out for ICS.

Because Motorola hasn't released source for THEIR libaudio files. We're compiling straight Google Android libaudio without Moto's patches to the source. Things aren't quite going to align because some Motorola files have to be pulled from their build and we're compiling what amounts to a slightly wrong source code. It mostly works, but not entirely.

No. The bluetooth issue will NOT be resolved if the devs continue to use the same build as their base and only add a bunch of speed/memory/battery/graphic tweaks along with some apps for overclocking.

This issue either needs to be fixed after the fact by pulling apart the libraries and altering the machine language type guts of them, then repacking the libraries somehow, OR if they do roughly the same thing, but apply the changes to the source code and compile it properly.

Think of it as a car with transmission problems. You can paint it any color you want. You can even adjust the way the engine runs to get more horsepower out of it. But to get rid of the growl in second gear, you have to rebuild the tranny. End of story.

With ROMs there is always pluses and negatives. This one has a lot of +'s. Most don't even have cameras working. To get audio through the phone toggle off the BT.

I'll be flashing as soon as I my phone.

Don't even worry about it. I don't think anyone saw your question as disrespectful. Yeah, the issues are from the ROM this is overlayed on to.

Most don't have a working camera? Really?

I'm sure you couldn't swing a dead cat without finding at least a couple Blur based ROMs that have a perfectly working camera and more kangs of CM9/AOKP that have a working camera than you could count if you were buck naked!

The only ROMs that don't have a working camera are the ones that use a kexec kernel, or the VERY VERY recent jellybean ROMs that are based on the stock kernel

Can you explain the purpose of the 2 calendar apk's in the /system/app folder? I mean the calendar.apk is the inverted one and i assume the calendarprovider.apk is the stock one but why would both be needed? Just trying to figure this out for personal reasons not that there is any problems caused by this or anything.

Nevermind i figured out the answer to my own question. Thanks for all the input on it though. I think i had a brain fart that lasted about a day and a half. LMAO

CalendarProvider.apk is the background service for the calendar app, I believe. Things like syncing with Google are done there, while the actual app that displays and allows edits to that calendar are handled by the Calendar.apk frontend.

I could be way off, though. It just fits with the client/service pairing you see in a lot of programs for Linux.

the syncing is done through googlecalendarsync. i just wasn't sure if those 2 apk's were just to give the user another choice for the calendar widget or what.

Here is a bit of info, posted in the OP of this thread about how to get the apk BACK :)

No matter what the actual purpose ends up being, I'd say that apk is probably a pretty essential one to this ROM (and every other ROM) and shouldn't be frozen or deleted if you use the calendar for anything. Looking through Titanium Backup, I see the Calendar app itself, the Google Calendar Sync, and the Calendar Storage app. Not really sure why they would be three separate apps.
