I saw this Youtube video in which a guy managed to enable 4G LTE using blank sim card and a friends active Verizon account. I see you have mentioned that a blank sim is required for this process. Would you happen to know how to modify settings to enable 4G LTE??? I have Droid Rzar and I am trying to transfer to PagePlus and I have my girlfriends Verizon account active with 4G LTE data. Please let me know. Thanks.

It's a complete violation of the FCC and is fraud. I would avoid stealing service from another account and subjecting yourself to possible....

Can anyone help me, I just can not get the phone into BP Tools so that I can see in it in Device Manager.
What am I missing here to get it into BP Tools?
I followed the steps to vol-/+ and power and scroll to BP Tools and then hit vol+ and all that happens is the phone reboots and I still can not connect it.

I think I am screwed.

My razr maxx is on my ex's account but it soon will be mine and released from her account.

I have an HTC Incredible on pageplus and wanted to switch it for the Maxx.

Problem is.......I have put Jellybean on the Maxx now which I'm sure makes it impossible to do all the steps needed in this guide.

Am I assuming correctly?

no your not buddy ... i got everything working following this thread except mms. I flashed the fat free bean rom and evrrything worked. this was my fix. still sometimes if i lock stock rom it wont auto PRL so i dont have MMS everytime.EDIT* check this out...

Get apk from play store called (Build prop Editor) you must be rooted
Tested on ICS and Jelly Bean
Open program
go to
telephony.lteoncdmadevice change number from 1 to a 0
it writes prl,phone number,and min to phone no more need to activate all the time
Reboot and do not edit anything else

Anyone still on here i have a Q i got my droid razr fully flashed with text talk and 3g data and mms messaging but when i go into settings phone settings the about phone it shows my number as unknown any fix for that?

How necessary is a blank SIM card? Can I not use the one that came with the phone from its previous owner? Can't it be erased?

There is another tutorial on Howard Forums where you don't need a blank SIM card.

It does not work with phones that have blur_version.98.72.16.xt912.verizon.en.us installed.

Too many errors and such.

CDMA workshop is not free and does not write without registration. How am i suppose to use it ?

Razr Utility is also outdated and steps are different.

Someone needs to correct this tutorial or make another one for 98.72.16.xt912 and 98.72.165.XT912 if they require different process.

Also versions of software shold be specified, that way users can download that exact version to make it easier.

Also if one or another application used is not free, please say so. CDMA workshop is not free from what i understand, it keeps giving me "unregistered version" errors when i try to use it.

Dial *22800 it will crash or say SIM is invalid press ok
Dial *22800 again and again until activation screen pops up, keep trying to activa until

My phone works now but above steps were not completed.

Every time i dial *22800 i get SIM error invalid or need activation no matter how many times i try.

i have 1X data and able to make/receive calls no problems but activation number does not work and i keep seeing "Activating SIM card message" that does nothing.

Tonycstech, look in youtube for "flash droid razr to page plus." There are 2 step by step videos on how to do it, with ALL of the instructions...

Help me. I have a droid RAZR that I flashed to page plus with 3g. I have now went to the 4g. What settings do I need to change on my phone. My 4g data works, but I can't make any calls.
