Nothing I do will make the computer recognize the phone. It's like it's not connected but the phone is charging.

Be sure you are in a USB 2.0 port and not a 3.0. Moto cable?

How do I tell a 2.0 from a 3.0? And yes, it's the same cable I used to do all this before, just different computer now.

Mine are grayish colored, so I'm guessing not a 3.0.

Well now I really feel stupid. Turns out I wasn't using the moto cable after all. I had somehow switched it with an LG cable. At least now my computer sees the phone. I'll start working on it now and see how it goes.

That's cool. It's usually something simple. IDK how many times I try to reboot into recovery with the USB cable in . Gets me every time....
