Received a ota update from Verizon last night. When I searched what it was, found this site. Cool place, thanks for the info.

My question is, when Andriod does an auto update, is there a place that will tell us the changes? I hate having to fumble around in software to figure out whats changed and what hasnt.

I should have been more clear. I was wondering if Verizon or Motorola had a specific place they post the info?

In response to the force close error in the app drawer I can confirm that If you uninstall updates on Google search app this will fix the problem. Just an FYI for everyone out there.

Usually on the notification screen when you receive the update there's a link you can click on that'll take you to the info page

I am trying to update my rooted droid razr to 6.12.173. I keep getting an error while the package is verifying current system.
It says E: error in tmp/sideload/package.zip status 7 installation aborted.

Any ideas?

Sideload error is usually a bloat issue, make sure all your apps are updated and installed sometimes your phone will say no updates. Check them all manually

Easiest way if you're not familiar with manual checks is rsd

That page is from verizon and lists the changes. what more are you looking for?

I tried RSD, it failed. Was I using the wrong file?

rsd seems to not like the new .173 update... it worked fine with .748... use matts utility, it works with the new restore file.

It works fine, remove the two oem lines from the xml file.
