OK..I've flashed on a freshly created slot 2..but......I am having a few issues that I'm sure some of you crackflashers can help with. First.. I can't install Tasker..period. Play says it's not compatible with my device and unlike before, it won't install from my SD..and yes..I paid for it.
Secondly,I can't talk to text like I'm used to.Says Google search has stopped.
Thirdly,where is the setting for notification for Talk???? That is driving me nuts!! Haha


And I'm guessing speakerphone isn't working? I'm way behind on this

I've also been unable to install my "Tasker" app (AutomateIt Pro), it also says "Your device isn't compatible with this version."

Also had a weird bug happen to me today, I tried to put a call on speakerphone, and the person on the other end couldn't hear me. I turned off speakerphone and then they heard me fine. I've never tried speakerphone before, so not sure it this was just an isolated incident or not.

Even with these small bugs, this ROM rocks!!! Keep up the good work!

its not with this rom ..its with the kexec kernel..its come along way with the release of source..but it still has some bugs..speaker phone being one of them

OK..I remember something about speakerphone but thought it was fixed. I rely on it mainly because I have yet to take my Bionic apart to figure out whats up with the earpiece...extremely crackly. The no sound on talk is a mystery..and the only think of is that play isn't reading my phone correctly...but that doesn't explain why I can't install Tasker from my SD...very strange.

ive run this rom from day 1 but i cant offer a fix,,,from what i use the only thing i have a issue with is TALK doesnt elert ...facebook does everytime aghhhh..gonna get rid of that... but these issues are not with the rom or anything jp did..there growing pains with the kexec kernel

I know it's not the ROM..this is the first time I decided to really try it. I only skimmed through on the first iteration of speedlite..and I've already setup most of my stuff from Icarus..so I'm in it for the long haul. It's strange how some basic Apps like Tasker and Paypal are "incompatible with my device" and the Talk notification thing is just stranger! I checked all the audio stuff..makes no sense!
I'm probably going to throw this in VTS this week and start trying to come up with a plan for something. I'm a bit bored with Blur and really like the as close to true JB visual stuff on a moto device

i wasnt refering to you jayrod..i was just leting people who didnt now about the kexec kernel..the problems were having has to do with that...wich it has come along way..its almost there

It's cool...I know that people much smarter than me are doing awesome stuff in a very difficult environment to give us a bit of freedom with our locked down phones and in some ways, this is uncharted territory. I'm truly amazed how far things have come since I got my Bionic after launch! Without Dhacker,Hashcode,Dan R..and awesome devs...we would have nothing but what Moto decides we should have. Locked down,non rootable, boring choiceless phones.

Jayrod do you have Tasker backed up with tibu? Maybe it'll restore for you that way. I just bought tasker from the play store 2 days ago (while on this ROM) and it installed fine. Maybe re-install from the store? Obvious suggestions I know, but I'm not smart enough to come up with anything better

Yeah unfortunately since Verizon is no longer my carrier, so Bionic doesn't get much use other than for devving and testing. I wish it did though...boy, how the times change. This was one of my first ROMS too...

Tried that after I had the other failures. Some other apps wouldn't install either,but my accounts and stuff did. I'm going to wipe the backup and try again later.

Sorry I'm fresh out of ideas. I had all sorts of problems with the original kexec AOKP builds, but I have only had very minor issue with this one (DSP Manager force closes every time I open it). Other than that this one has been rock solid for me. What other apps are you having problems with?

Weather Bug Elite fc's on opening. I can get you the error code from system tuner if you like. It was some failure to connect with hyper code address and flash crashing. Dan

Nah that's okay, thanks though. I never used DSP Manager much anyway. I got the free version from play to tide me over until the next build. Something to do with the app not playing nice as a system app. Works fine in the data/app folder, not so much in the system/app folder.

When I originally got tasker, I installed from an .apk that was floating around so Playstore only showed that I had purchased it...not that it was one of my apps to restore. Of course, the only other slots I am running on my main Bionic are CM10,Speedlite and Icarus(which has been my daily) but since the update has been broken down into ICS and JB, I thought maybe that was why I couldnt restore from TibU, so I booted to my CM rom10 slot that I was tinkering with and installed from play.I then only backed up tasker in tIbu since it would add to my backups and then booted back to AOKP. Opened play first to see if it still showed the same message,which it did so I opened up TibU and tried only restoring the tasker backup that was created today. No dice.App not installed. Very strange!
So far, the only other app that says its incompatible has been Paypal...again,very strange.

Yeah that's beyond me. I've been using speedlite as my daily since v2, its the only ROM I have on my bionic aside from stock. Maybe try manually dropping the apk in the data/app folder with a root browser?

It is more than likely due to the fact that my Bionic is special ...the helmet wearing type! It has given me a few hair pulling tirades with some of my themeing as it doesn't like certain things that other Bionics do.

Oh..and it refuses to accept the idea of overclocking. It feels that 1.2 is fast enough.

Nice. That's one thing I'm missing with the kexec build. I had mine at 1.3 ghz with previous versions. I'm stuck at 1 with kexec.

This just gets even weirder! Decided to try speed lite on my back up bionic that has been my tester. It also has CM10 on slot 1 and Icarus was on 2&3. I wiped slot 2, created a new slot..installed speed lite b3..and rebooted. It just sat there,screen going from black to greyish white lines. I deleted slot 2 again and then reflashed b3. This is what I see

My CM and Icarus slot are fine and the only thing I changed was that I realized I was still on SS 3.5 so I now am on 3.11
